Story
Zoey was born on March 30, 2017. She is 8 years old. She is a Siamese mix. She is a hyper independent cat. Does not like to be picked up or held, but she will come up to you and cuddle on or next to you- on her own terms. She can be timid and hide when around loud noises. Loves soft blankets and making biscuits. She eats a can of wet food in the morning and evening. Does not eat much dry food. Does not meow unless she wants food or attention. Box trained. Sleeps through the night- does not keep you up. She is good with babies and kids- keeps her distant and does not scratch, but unfortunately my toddler does not like her and is not the nicest. She uses a scratching post. Loves to bird and squirrel Watch out the window. Zoey deserves a quiet, loving home with someone who can give her more attention and love. She has never been loose outside and gets scared if she does venture out. She’s a pretty good cat with no bad habits.

Story
I would like to keep these two together, they are siblings and play together everyday. They were given to me because the original owner was not able to find them homes as they were the last picks on the litter and smaller than most the other kittens. They are full grown at about 10 inches when sitting in loaf position. They have always spent their lives in upstairs apartments with a balcony. Originally we had a small dog and they loved that dog and were very faithful to it before it passed away. Aura (white) will cuddle up and Ina (tabby) loves jumping challenges. They generally hide when other people enter the house and don't like to venture outside. *This is the problem*, they are not fixed yet and also they are not consistant with using a litter box. If you think these are a good fit for you. Please apply.

Story
DOB 2022 Casper, our beautiful Himalayan mix who is 2 years old. We think Casper was teased in his previous home because he is reactive to feet and hands. Casper will need an owner who understands how to read cat body language. Casper's current foster loves Casper and can't believe he hasn't been adopted yet. He is always in the same room she is in. We think he would become more of a lap cat if he were in a home with just one young cat. He always comes to greet company. Casper will need time and a space to decompress in. It took time for him to adjust when he was surrendered to us. Casper does great with younger cats at the fosters' house. He does not like dogs. Casper likes to play with his feather toys. Sometimes he will play with the laser light. He likes to be up high. He is food motivated and LOVES churus. We would NOT recommend Casper be adopted to a home with children. If you have experiece with a cat with purrsonality like Casper, fill out an appllication. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.
