I play, purr and I'm a big cuddle bug. I'm fine with other animals and love my humans. Can I be a part of your family? Story
DOB 2022 Casper, is not a friendly ghost. His previous owner surrended him when he was headed off to college.. He is a big gorgeous Siamese mix. He is part tiger and may have been an only kitten or teased a lot when he was young. He needs to learn that hands are not toys. He is going to need an experience owner of onery cats. He easily gets over stimulated. His current foster has his number and understands he needs a few play sessions a day to get that energy out of his system and recognizes when he is DONE being petted. Casper has done okay with younger cats at the fosters' house. Although we think Casper would do best as an only pet. He will need a long acclimation period where he has a space just to chill in. A guest room, office or bathroom. Casper does like to play with his feather toys. He does kind of chase a laser light. He likes to be up high. He is food motivated and LOVES churus. We would NOT recommend Casper be adopted to a home with children. If you have experiece with a cat with purrsonality like Casper, fill out an appllication. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
SILVER MICKIE and FRANK are a mellow bonded pair of adult male Siamese mix cats. Silver Mickie is a lynxpoint (gray tabby/Siamese mix) and Frank is a chocolate point. Both have beautiful bright blue eyes. These two fellas make a stunning pair! Silver Mickie and Frank are both gentle and affectionate.  Frank is the more extroverted of the two and appreciates attention and combing. Mickie is also sweet and affectionate but takes a little longer to get comfortable with his humans. These two enjoy cuddling together, playing with wand toys, and looking out the window at the bird feeders. Frank likes to follow his foster around (especially at mealtime!) chatting and chortling. They are both easy going and well behaved. Frank was loving and curious almost immediately, while Mickie took about a week to warm up--but he now seeks pets and enjoys being groomed. They do not seem fearful of occasional loud noises or the vacuum cleaner. These two are beautiful boys who have excellent manners and very calm personalities. They are bonded, but also affectionate with their humans. They had a loving home, but their owner passed away.  If you’re looking to add cats with a sweet disposition to your household, Frank and Silver Mickie are the perfect pair for you!  SILVER MICKIE and FRANK have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (they are negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and include a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet FRANK and SILVER MICKIE  in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.   The $170 adoption fee for the pair allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. Frank’s ID: 2301-C0017 Silver Mickie’s ID: 1810-C0488R FRANK DOB: 7/13/2018 SILVER MICKIE DOB: 10/25/2018 MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER AS A BONDED PAIR BEST AS ONLY CATS UNKNOWN WITH DOGS BEST WITH QUIET OLDER KIDS, OR ADULTSNovember 5, 2024, 2:34 pm

Story
ONYXIA is a female lynxpoint Siamese-mix cat with plush fur and beautiful blue eyes. She has soft gray tabby points.  Onyxia is a chatty and affectionate companion that wants to be wherever YOU are, preferably in your lap, "helping" you with whatever you're doing.. When she can't be in your lap, her next favorite place is a cushy pillow right next to you, near all the action. She is super friendly with people and will greet your friends and family with enthusiasm and curiosity. She's a people cat…which means she wants to be the ONLY cat in your life. She really doesn’t like other cats, and dogs are not something she will tolerate either. She loves treats (maybe a little TOO much!) and small, fluffy toys she can bat around and shred to pieces. Onyxia was found as a stray, and was immediately comfortable and happy to be in a home.  She is not shy of people, although unfamiliar noises can startle her initially. Older children would be best as she sometimes has a tendency to become overstimulated.  Onyxia will make a wonderful and affectionate companion in a single-pet household where she can be lavished with love. ONYXIA has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, is in excellent health, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet ONYXIA in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart.
