Adoption Fee: $135Arrival Date: 8/30/24Microchip # 941000027836045Weight: 5.66lbsHello, I'm Mama's Pizzeria! My kittens and I were abandoned in a box here at SafeHaven overnight. We were only left with pizza crust and leftover Chinese food to eat. I was able to escape the box but couldn't leave my kittens so I stayed and waited for help. The staff found us when they arrived to work and quickly took us in. I'm a little nervous and working on trusting people again but deep down I really want a home and a family to love me. Now that my kittens are safe it's finally my turn to be loved and accepted into my very own home. If you stop by to meet me just know I might not show my wonderful personality right away and may take a little time to warm up.

Story
DOB 2022 Casper, is not a friendly ghost. His previous owner surrended him when he was headed off to college.. He is a big gorgeous Siamese mix. He is part tiger and may have been an only kitten or teased a lot when he was young. He needs to learn that hands are not toys. He is going to need an experience owner of onery cats. He easily gets over stimulated. His current foster has his number and understands he needs a few play sessions a day to get that energy out of his system and recognizes when he is DONE being petted. Casper has done okay with younger cats at the fosters' house. Although we think Casper would do best as an only pet. He will need a long acclimation period where he has a space just to chill in. A guest room, office or bathroom. Casper does like to play with his feather toys. He does kind of chase a laser light. He likes to be up high. He is food motivated and LOVES churus. We would NOT recommend Casper be adopted to a home with children. If you have experiece with a cat with purrsonality like Casper, fill out an appllication. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult ( over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
We need to rehome 2 very loving, non-combative Siamese cats that have been with the family for years. They are not fighters at ALL, they love attention and could be pet for hours but are perfectly fine being independent. They aren't neighborhood roamers but do go outside whenever, they stay around the house though. We are rehoming because my 64 year old mom has always taken care of them but she doesn't have it in her anymore. She had a stroke not too long ago and lost in large part, use of her right hand, so she just really can't take care of them anymore unfortunately. We would really really preter for them to be rehomed together because they've been with each other for years. Please contact me and I can give you many more details over the phone. Only 2 requirements is we want to meet first to make sure they’re going to a good place and want to be contacted if you decide to rehome so we can make sure they go to a good place, not many characters allowed here, contact for phone, thanks

Story
Hi, my name is Rain! I'm available for adoption! Please read the questions and answers below to learn more about me. If I sound like a good fit, come out to Greenhill Humane Society to meet me! Do you like other cats? I lived with many other cats in my previous home. I'd likely do well with another cat after a slow introduction period. What do you think about living with a dog? My history with dogs is not known. I might do well with a calm, cat savvy dog after a slow introduction period. How do you feel about kids? I have no known history with kids. I can be very shy at first and am used to spending most of my time with other cats so I'd likely do best in a home without kids. What was your previous home like? I lived indoors only with a lot of other cats. What's your ideal home like? A calm quiet home with people who will give me plenty of time to adjust to my new environment and who will have patience in gaining my trust. I need a home with adults who are energetic enough and physically able to spend time and energy building a relationship with me. Since I've spent all my life with other cat companions I would benefit going to a home with other cats. Is there anything else we should know about you? Since I've been at Greenhill staff has noticed that I am very vocal and have lots to say! I'm also shy at first but staff are confident that once my trust is gained I'll make a great companion!
