Charlie is an affectionate Shih Tzu mix who loves toys almost as much as he loves his people. He can entertain himself for quite a while, burying his toys under blankets and pillows, walking around with a toy in his mouth, or lying on his back holding a toy with his paws. He also loves cuddle, lap, and play time with his people and will gaze adoringly into their eyes. He enjoys meeting new people (especially if a treat is involved!), but he will stay at a respectful distance and approach them on his own time. Charlie is a sturdy boy who weighs around 16 pounds. He enjoys being the center of his guardian's world, so we are asking that he go to a home without to many dogs because we want him to be spoiled! Charlie does great with no accidents if he is let outside in the backyard every few hours like most dogs. He will go on indoor pee pads if necessary. Gizmo's got it all-all those gorgeous looks (button nose much?), excellent house manners ,and big ambitions to boot. Gizmo is working on championship fetch status while he is looking for his new home. He heard people like dogs who fetch, so he's all in with the tennis ball. At home, Gizmo is cuddly, smart and quiet. When he is out walking, that ambition kicks in and he works a bit too hard to achieve "tough guy on the block" status. His strategy is to bark and yell at passings dogs to prove himself. He needs to learn a new strategy and his new family can help. Your reward will be cuteness and kisses. Gizmo lives successfully with a dog in his foster home and has lived with others in the past. Gizmo is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. Courtesy listing Theodora is from a breeder, but never had puppies. She is now spayed, vaccinated and ready for a home. She has learned to walk on a leash and is good fo car rides. She will need work on being housebroken still. If you require a dog that is housebroken please keep looking. She spent her life in a crate. It takes time. She had her first ever hair cut and bath after being rescued and she will need regular grooming sessions for the rest of her life, she was very well behaved for clipping but wasn’t a big fan of the bath. She gets along with dogs and cats fine about 99% of the time, on rare occasions she can be bossy towards cats/ dogs but she isn’t aggressive and it’s not very frequent and might be better now that she is spayed.
