Cookie is a pup with simple tastes: his main source of joy in life is companionship. His fosters take him to the dog park every day and he loves to play with the other dogs, big or small. Once they get home, he is not very interested in games or toys, instead choosing to snooze near his people.
On his sniffy walks, Cookie is great on a leash, and this smart boy is fully house trained! He sleeps through the night in his crate, and during the day he is left to roam when his people are out, never showing destructive behavior. Cookie's ideal home is one where there are people or other dogs more often than not, he is a social and loving guy!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
