Story
About Charlie   Age 2.5years old Weight 16 pounds Energy level Medium Healthy status Healthy  Ideal home Fenced yard with someone home part of the day   Charlie came to us from a local shelter. Charlie is an affectionate Shih Tzu mix who loves toys almost as much as he loves his people. He can entertain himself for quite a while, burying his toys under blankets and pillows, walking around with a toy in his mouth, or lying on his back holding a toy with his paws. He also loves cuddle, lap, and play time with his people and will gaze adoringly into their eyes. He enjoys meeting new people (especially if a treat is involved!), but he will stay at a respectful distance and approach them on his own time.    Charlie is a sturdy boy who weighs around 16 pounds. He enjoys being the center of his guardian's world, so we are asking that he go to a home without to many dogs because we want him to be spoiled!  Charlie does great with no accidents if he is let outside in the backyard every few hours like most dogs. He will go on indoor pee pads if necessary. Charlie prefers not to be left alone for too long, so we are asking for a home with someone home part of the day. Story
Approximate Age: 1-2 years Approximate Weight: 11.6 lbs Finn just arrived to ODHS! We are still learning all about him. He is a very shy, nervous boy but warms up with time. Once he knows you, he loves you. When you initially meet him, he is a bite risk. With a couple weeks time and tender loving care, he will love you. He would do best in a home with older or no kids. Finn does great with other dogs. *********************************************************************** Visit our website for an application to adopt. https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-application Educational article: 3/3/3 rule: https://www.rescuedogs101.com/bringing-new-dog-home-3-3-3-rule/?fbclid=IwAR2iv5m7fqk3FieO7LOsstGeGsYYV_F1rJOd1BPxaImofLpcinpYsUbFRWs Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog).
