This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Rocco is 10-12 years old and weighs 12 pounds. He's an equal opportunity lover of dogs, respectful kids and any human who will be his friend. He's an outdoor enthusiast who needs a fenced yard to safely enjoy his adventures. His favorite pastime? Being by your side! Since his beloved owner went into hospice care, Rocco thrives best with someone who’s home often. Rocco has some vision and hearing loss and may need a hand with stairs, but his spirit is unstoppable! Sometimes he barks for no reason but a little distraction does the trick. While we believe he’s housetrained, we use a "male wrap" (belly band) just in case. He’s not on any medication and his recent bloodwork and vet notes show he's doing fine for a senior!
