Story
Meet Jenny, Ready for Her Forever Home!  We may never know Jenny’s past, but this brave little girl isn’t letting anything hold her back. At 4-5 years old, Jenny is full of life, always wagging her tail, and bringing joy to everyone she meets. Jenny has a break in her back and one hind leg she can't use, so she needs a little help going up and down stairs—but don’t worry, she’s only 13 pounds and will look at you with those sweet, grateful eyes as you carry her. Aside from avoiding stairs and skipping long walks, Jenny is just like any other pup! She’s house-trained, loves people, and is friendly with pets her size, even cats! Jenny would thrive in a home without bigger dogs, as they could be too much for her physically. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will warm your heart every day, Jenny is waiting to meet you.  Please apply to adopt Jenny at rescueridge.com, and if your application is a possible match, a volunteer will get back to you shortly.  No inquiry without an adoption application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2024, 1:56 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Benny is a handsome Shih Tzu who is looking for a new home. Benny is currently in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ on our next transport. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Benny was surrendered by his owner to our partner rescue in Louisiana when his elderly owner could no longer care for him. Family members took him initially but were unable to keep him long term. Our partner rescue got him groomed and got him the medical care he needed. Benny is dog, cat and kid friendly but he does not care for bigger dogs. He is housebroken, crate trained and non destructive in his foster home in Louisiana. Benny is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
Matawan, NJ. Just look at this precious little Shih Tzu girl.'s sweet face She had an extremely traumatic experience that left one of her eyes hanging out of the socket by the muscle. It was horrendous, but the good news is........ After emergency surgery at an after-hours emergency vet clinic, she has recovered amazingly well and is now ready for adoption in NJ. She was so strong and such a little trooper through it all.. She is the absolute sweetest little angel, happy, extremely well behaved and house trained. You could not get a more wonderful addition to your family if you are wanting to adopt. She will need to be placed in an adult only home with possibly one small, docile dog. We do not want anything to happen to her remaining eye so we must be extra cautious in her placement/home environment. If you are interested in applying to adopt this ANGEL, please read the additional information below. All potential adopters must fill out applications and be approved before meeting the pet they are interested in adopting. To adopt one of the precious lives that we have saved, this rescue requires an approved application, a suitable home environment, a signed adoption contract, and an adoption fee. If approved to adopt, we expect applicants to pick up their new pets in person at the pet's foster location. Thank you for understanding that these dogs' welfare and quality of life, for the rest of their life, is our top priority and why we must be extremely diligent in their placement. If interested in adoption or fostering for us, please click the following links.....To apply to adopt, please click this link: http://tennesseetoyrescue.tripod.com/application.htm To apply to foster one of our rescue dogs or volunteer for PP, please click http://tennesseetoyrescue.tripod.com/fosterapp.html Submission instructions are at the bottom of the application. Story
Meet Baby Valentine! This adorable Shih Tzu mix was named because he was surrendered on Valentine’s Day. Despite inheriting seizures from his dad, Baby Valentine is too busy being the happiest pup to notice! Baby Valentine needs to take his meds every day (one of them every eight hours—yes, he has a schedule!), but don’t worry—they're very inexpensive. He’s used to taking them without fuss and goes right back to playing with every toy he can find and running around with his foster sister, trying to show her that he’s just as big and brave as she is! He needs a special human who can keep up with his meds routine. Baby Valentine is a ball of energy who loves everyone and everything! Now, he’s looking for his forever home. Baby Valentine gets along great with other dogs, though he hasn't been tested with cats yet. He’s doing really well with leash training and is already pee pad trained. Plus, he’s getting the hang of using the bathroom outside. At only about 10 lbs, he’s a small pup who won’t grow much bigger. Baby Valentine loves car rides and enjoys going everywhere with his foster mom. If you’re looking for a buddy who will shower you with love every time he sees you, whether it’s been a minute or 5 hours, Baby Valentine is the one! Interested in adopting Valentine? Please visit www.huskyhouse.org today to fill out an application.   November 4, 2024, 8:29 pm

Story
Meet Bourbon! He’s a shih tzu mix (mom is a shih tzu, dad is a schnauzer) who was surrendered from a backyard breeder due to seizures. He takes inexpensive medication four times a day, but he’s not happy about it, so his foster mom continuously comes up with new ways to get him to take it. He’s doing great in his foster home with other small dogs. He’s a 6 pound ball of energy who loves to play, but he will also snuggle up on his foster mom’s lap. He loves toys!! He’s only had one seizure in the 6 weeks we’ve had him, because his meds needed adjusting. He hasn’t had any issues since. Interested in adopting Bourbon? Please visit www.huskyhouse.org today to fill out an application. November 4, 2024, 8:29 pm
