Rocco is 10-12 years old and weighs 12 pounds. He's an equal opportunity lover of dogs, respectful kids and any human who will be his friend. He's an outdoor enthusiast who needs a fenced yard to safely enjoy his adventures. His favorite pastime? Being by your side! Since his beloved owner went into hospice care, Rocco thrives best with someone who’s home often. Rocco has some vision and hearing loss and may need a hand with stairs, but his spirit is unstoppable! Sometimes he barks for no reason but a little distraction does the trick. While we believe he’s housetrained, we use a "male wrap" (belly band) just in case. He’s not on any medication and his recent bloodwork and vet notes show he's doing fine for a senior! We are looking for a "Forever Foster" for Rocco. We'll supply everything Rocco needs for life – all you need to do is provide a loving home, just like you would your own pet. We’re looking for a family within a reasonable distance from Barnegat, NJ, so he can visit our vet in town. Mocha was once skittish and avoided human interaction, but now she eagerly accepts pets and loves to snuggle for hugs! She’s playful, loves running laps (especially when food is involved!), and enjoys toys and bones. Mocha is also making great strides in her potty training, going outside with the dog pack and using pee pads when needed. Mocha's ideal home will be calm, with a fenced-in yard where she can enjoy the outdoors safely. She gets along well with other dogs, especially quiet ones, but would do best in a home without hyper dogs or young children. She is not walking on a leash yet, so her adopter will need to be patient and willing to continue working with her to help her trust the outside world.
