Milo 's Story Milo is a charming 2-year-old Shih Tzu looking for a fresh start after being surrendered due to his previous family’s move. This little guy already understands Spanish and is sure to pick up English quickly in a new, loving home. Milo is housebroken and does well on a leash, making him a great companion for daily walks. While he wasn’t crate trained in his previous home, he’s a smart pup who could learn with patience and consistency. Milo would do best in a home without small children, as he can sometimes be a bit temperamental and may get snippy if uncomfortable. He appears to tolerate other dogs and cats, so a home with existing pets could be a good fit with proper introductions. Milo is full of personality and will thrive with an experienced owner who understands his needs and can provide structure, love, and a calm environment. Ginge is being fostered in AL. Ginge is a little girl with a bubbly personality. She loves to play with her toys and wants to play with other dogs, but is a little unsure. Ginge has a lot of energy and will play as long as you play with her. Then she’ll cuddle. Ginge is a social butterfly who loves hanging out with new people, but is still learning that people aren’t chew toys. She also will put anything in her mouth as she’s exploring so you have to watch her closely. Ginge has juvenile glaucoma and is totally blind. The good news is that her glaucoma is well controlled by eye drops given twice daily. Ginge eats well and comes running if she hears a bag rattle in the kitchen. She sleeps through the night in her crate. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
