Miss Hasbro is still being re-trained to potty outside due to her mom's illness where she was trained to use potty pads inside. You can tell when she has to go potty because she will start spinning in various areas in the house looking for a spot. She would like a fenced yard. She is an 'Alpha Female Shih Tzu' that wants to be in charge. She would do best with "submissive type dog" her size as a companion in the home probably a male dog is better . Her Perfect Family will have a fence, no kids, be patient in potty training and a mom who is home most of the day and will Snuggle With Her! Applications can be found here on our website. Hershey was a pretty shy boy when he first arrived. He was scared & not sure what the future was going to be. Well, he arrived at his foster home & was greeted by some furry friends who assured him it was going to be fabulous from here on out. He spent the first few weeks just watching. Watching the humans, watching the other dogs, & watching the household activities. Hershey has come a long way and now follows his foster mom everywhere. He will jump up on the recliner so his foster mom will hold him. He lays in the kitchen next to her feet. He loves his foster mom. He is still unsure of his foster dad but is getting better. In his new home, everyone will need to understand Hershey will need time to adjust so you will need patience. Hershey is still not accepting of the harness and leash so he will need a secure physically fenced yard. In time, his family can work on leash training, but it isn’t going to happen any time soon. He is a very good boy that doesn’t need to be crated & is always on his best behavior when his foster family is gone. He is not completely potty trained but taken out often, he doesn't have accidents. Hershey needs a low-key family that will allow him to bloom. He really needs another dog of similar size in the home already. He will lay and snuggle with his foster siblings around the home during the day and he cuddles with his 4 legged siblings on a comfy bed in his human fosters bedroom. Applications can be found on our website. Luthando found himself abandoned on the streets before his first birthday. What a scary place to be, especially for such a young tiny puppy. He's been in his foster home observing & learning from his canine friends. He doesn't like to be the leader; he is not the alpha type. He earnestly tries to make friends & establish relationships, especially with humans. Luthando has had many adventures in his foster home. Trying a harness & leash, going for car rides, getting to play with toys, & trying new foods. He loves his foster mom. He is still unsure of his foster dad but is getting better. In his new home, everyone will need to understand Luthando will need time to adjust so you will need patience. He is doing fairly well on a harness. He has had no formal training, so he isn't 'skilled' at leash walking. But he will do his potty business & he is not bothered by a leash & harness. If his family doesn't have a fence, they will need to understand that he needs encouragement & positive reinforcement so he can continue improving. If his family does have a fence, they need to check it well for gaps & make sure it is really secure. We wouldn't want him out on the streets again! He is a very good boy that doesn’t need to be crated & is always on his best behavior when his foster family is gone. He will do best in a doggie-safe area of the home that is set up for napping, playing, & a potty area. He is not completely potty trained but taken out often, he doesn't have accidents. Patience & praise will encourage him to continue his good record. Luthando very much enjoys human company. He really likes to play with toys, & he will actively try to engage the other canines in the home. Some dogs are not going to appreciate his enthusiasm for contact play, some dogs will be excited to have a friend. If you have dogs in the home, please make sure they are the latter. Luthando is not subtle about play time & he can be a nuisance to dogs who prefer lounging or napping. This little guy is ready to find his family.
