Obi is a 5 year old mixed breed who is around 40 lbs. He is an incredibly sweet dog who loves his people. He is a very lazy guy who loves to snuggle up on the couch with you. When he has access to a yard he does love to run and play but he is perfectly content to lay around and be lazy. Obi has coexisted in a home with other pets his whole life. He has lived with both dogs and cats before but he does have a tendency to resource guard and it can cause issues sometimes. Obi would do best in a home with older children or just adults. He has only been around small children a few times and they seem to make him a little uncomfortable. Although Obi does have some quirks, he is an incredibly sweeet and loyal boy who would make an incredible family member!

Bo enjoys all the belly rubs and time with his human. He’s great with kids and loves to play. He is crate trained. Bo will let you know when he’s ready to go outside to play or potty (where he enjoys most of his time). Although he will potty outside he has developed some behavioral issues by peeing/marking in the home. He does where a diaper as a precaution. He would do well with another adult dog that could model good behavior. Besides his indoor potty issue he really is a great dog. He’s extremely treat motivated and loves to go for walks, play fetch and of course lay beside his human. He loves every ounce of attention he can get.

Location Troy, MO Application at leiashope.org Preference Confident playful canine buddy Babe is our shy Teddybear. She needs time to adjust and warm up with people but is a socialite when she is with other dogs. Babe was born in a puppy mill where it is evident she did not get a lot of socialization. This has left her shy with people because she just has not been around them much. She will need positive experiences with people and outings to help her in her journey of being a more confident adult. The Teddybear 'breed' is a mix of a Bichon Frise and a Shihtzu. Both breeds are loving and sweet dogs. Bichons are known for their sweet and playful personalities and Shihtzus are known for their happy disposition and companionship. Mix the two together and you have an adorable sweet and happy dog! Babe will need routine grooming about every 6 weeks and brushed/combed regularly (2-3x a week). Babe would do well with a confident playful dog in her home to gain confidence from. Babe's adoption is $550. She is microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. She is not spayed as we do not spay/neuter until at least 6 months of age. A spay/neuter contract will be required and a $200 reimbursement will be paid to your vet at the time of procedure.
