Hi. I am a 1 year old tiny, brown and white female Shitsu who comes as a bonded pair with my 2 year old morkie brother, Zeke. You see, we were brought up together and depend on each other. I was originally found wandering the streets of San Antonio when I was a young puppy. Zeke came from a breeder. I am good with all people, including children. I get along well with other small dogs. Not sure about cats or large dogs since foster mom doesn't have either. I love to snuggle and sleep in the bed with my brother and foster mom. I am good on a leash and love chew toys and bones. I am pretty calm but can be a bit of a barker. I like going for car rides. I am kennel trained and do best being kenneled with my brother. I am pee pad trained and am working on potty training. I do the best when I am on a consistent schedule. So, if you have a lap big enough for a pair of lap-loving tiny dogs, we are your guys. My foster mom got me a wheelchair and I went for my very first walk. I stopped and looked at this and stopped to smell that... with a smile on my face the whole time!! I will need regular grooming to keep me looking this spectacular! Meet Gary! Besides being cute as a button, Gary is playful, smart, independent, demanding, a cuddlier and ready for his forever home. He loves being outside, walks great on a harness and leash, mostly house trained, knows sit, come and working on wait. Gary's very favorite thing to do it fetching a ball.  He can do it for hours!  He also likes to gather his toys and put them in a pile. Gary is very independent and likes his space.  He will go off and find a quiet place to take a nap.  He also can be demanding and vocal when he needs to go outside, wants to eat or wants a ball thrown.  He is great with people, dogs, cats, and older children but due to liking his space Gary is best in an adult home.  Gary would love another pup to play with and a fenced yard to run free for hours!! I may be a senior, but let me tell you, I’ve still got plenty of love and energy to go around. I’m a total indoor dog—I mean, who needs the great outdoors when you’ve got all the cozy comforts of home, right? Whether it’s rain or shine, I’m perfectly content to do my business outside and then hurry back indoors for some quality snuggle time. Toys? Oh, I can’t get enough of them! Soft, crinkly, you name it—I’ll play with anything you give me.  I do not need a fenced yar, as long as you always go out with me.. Sure, I enjoy the occasional walk, but I’m not dependent on it for bathroom breaks. I’m more of a in-and-out kind of guy when it comes to outdoor activities. Plus, I’m not the best on a leash and new things can make me a little nervous, so having a safe and secure yard where I can play without worry sounds like a dream. But let me tell you, when it comes to snuggles, I’m the absolute best. I’ll cuddle up with you for hours on end, bringing joy and warmth to your home every single day. I am prone to allergies and ear infections. To keep these in check, I am on the Adored Beast Leaky Gut allergy protocol.  I also eat raw rabbit, which is the best protein source for me.  I love it so much, there are no words!  My allergies have also improved considerably since I started on this yummy food and supplements.  I do also have dry eye, fairly common to my breed and I just need an eye drop in each eye, twice a day.  I don’t mind this at all because I know it will make my eyes more comfortable. At just 6 months old and 10 pounds, I’m full of curiosity, kindness, and lots of love for both people and other dogs. I’m happiest running around with a plush toy or ball, playing fetch, or even tossing the ball to myself—I’m easily entertained and know how to have a good time! I’m working hard on potty training and am super close to getting it, especially if we stick to a good schedule. I’m crate-trained, too, and feel safe and cozy in there when I need a nap. I love the freedom of a fenced yard to explore and sniff to my heart's content, so having a yard is a must for me! I can spend hours sniffing around outside, just hanging out and taking it all in. I adore being with my humans and following them around the house, and I’m great with kids. While I get along with all dogs, I’d especially love a dog buddy around my size to play with. If my humans are home often, though, I’d be totally happy being their one-and-only pup. One thing to know about me is that car rides aren’t really my thing. I get a little shaky and nervous, though I stay put and try my best. So, if you’re more of a homebody and like local adventures, I’d fit right in!
