Story
Ollie is a sweet 2yr old Shih Tzu that loves hard and wants to be with his person every minute of the day. When left, he does have anxiety, but that should improve with time. His previous family crated him at night but he absolutely loves to sleep with his person. He is being fostered with Cats. They do not run from him, so we aren’t sure how he would act if a cat ran from him. Ollie is playful but pretty much a couch potato. He would be best in a home where he can be with his family most of the time or have a dog sibling to hang with. He would also do better with older children. ðŸ\x90¾â\x9D¤ï¸\x8Fhttps://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41Disclaimer: I am located in Texas. Story
Meet Bruno and Rodent, an adorable Maltese-Shih Tzu father-daughter duo who are as inseparable as they are charming. Bruno, estimated to be 3–4 years old, weighs 12 pounds and his 7-month-old daughter, Rodent—affectionately nicknamed “Ro”—is a petite 7-pound bundle of joy. Together, they make the perfect pair of playful, cuddly companions, each bringing their own unique personality and quirks to the table.Bruno is a gentle and affectionate pup who thrives on being close to his people and his daughter. He loves snuggling on the couch, proudly parading around with his favorite stuffed toys, and going for short walks. While he takes a little time to adjust to new surroundings, he blossoms into a confident and happy companion once he feels secure. Rodent, on the other hand, is a silly and playful pup who enjoys zooming around the house and chasing her tail before settling in for cuddles. She’s self-entertaining and loves barking at her reflection in the mirror, keeping everyone entertained with her goofy antics. Both Bruno and Rodent are crate-trained and feel comfortable in their crates, though Bruno may bark a bit when first crated. They are making good progress with house training, doing well with potty pads indoors, but will need patience and consistency to fully master the skill. Bruno and Rodent are also great with other dogs, and while they haven’t been exposed to children, their calm and friendly demeanor suggests they could do well with kids. They’ve previously lived with cats and are undergoing slow introductions to the cats in their foster home, indicating they could likely coexist with feline friends in their future home.Bruno and Rodent are moderately energetic, enjoying playtime with toys and each other but not requiring long walks to tire them out. A bit of exercise and attention are all they need before they’re ready to settle in for naps and cuddles. They’re both vocal at times, especially when meeting new people or responding to loud noises, so this might be something to consider for apartment living.Bruno is healthy overall but does have a dermoid on his right eye, a condition where a hair growing out of his eye. Surgery is recommended in the next few years. Adopters should be prepared to consult a specialist, with an estimated cost of $1–2K for the procedure. This sweet pair would thrive in a calm, loving home where they can continue their training and enjoy plenty of affection. They’d do well with someone patient and attentive who can help them feel secure while supporting their progress with house training. If you’re looking for a bonded pair of goofy, loving companions, Bruno and Rodent are ready to bring double the love and joy into your life.If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $800. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Minimal About Pippin: Meet Pippin! 🐾 Pippin is a sweet, 1.5-year-old pup who is ready to find her forever home. She came to Twin Cities Pet Rescue after being found as a stray and was never reclaimed by her previous owners. Now, she's living her best life and is looking for a loving family to share it with! Pippin is a playful girl who loves to chase and wrestle with other dogs—if you’ve got a playful pup, they’ll get along great! When she’s not zooming around, she loves to curl up next to her humans for a good snuggle. She’s an affectionate little thing who thrives on attention, and there’s nothing she loves more than being close to her family. She’s been a rockstar with her crate training. Just say, "Pippin kennel" and she’ll happily head right in. She’s comfortable being crated while you're gone or while you're sleeping. Pippin is still working on potty training, but she’s getting better every day. Pippin is an easygoing house guest who gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. She’s also a fan of chew toys and is great at sticking to the appropriate ones—but if she finds a stray kid’s toy, she might need a gentle reminder to stick to the chews. 😊 If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and easygoing companion, Pippin might just be your perfect match! She's ready to bring lots of joy and cuddles into your home. Could she be the one for you? 🏡💖 Pippin is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Meet Buster: The Snuggle Enthusiast & Soft Toy Connoisseur Buster is a charming, easygoing pup with a deep love for all things soft—whether it’s a plush toy, a cozy blanket, or your lap. He’s got just the right mix of playful energy and laid-back vibes, making him the perfect companion for someone who enjoys both activity and cuddle sessions. When it comes to other dogs, Buster is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. Big dogs? Cool. Small dogs? No problem. Hyper dogs, lazy dogs, loud dogs, quiet dogs—he’s not picky about his company. However, he is very serious about his soft toys and Nylabone chews. Those are his prized possessions, and he will proudly carry them around like tiny trophies. He’ll happily play with another dog if they’re a good match, but he’s just as content doing his own thing, chewing on his favorite toy while the world carries on around him. Now, Buster does have one little quirk—he’s got an unidentified allergy. We’re not sure what he’s allergic to (he’s keeping that secret to himself), but the only sign is that his eyes sometimes need a quick saline rinse. He doesn’t fuss about it, and we like to think he enjoys the mini spa treatment. Otherwise, he’s a happy, healthy boy with no other allergy symptoms. Buster would fit in just about anywhere. He’d be a great buddy for a home with other dogs, but he’d also be perfectly content as an only pet, soaking up all the love and attention. Whether he’s playing, lounging, or curling up next to you for a nap, one thing’s for sure—this sweet boy is ready to bring love, laughter, and a whole collection of soft toys into his forever home. Could that be with you? Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there, I'm Sprig, a sweet, cuddly little Shih Tzu gal weighing in at just 12 pounds of pure joy! I'm a young adult, 3 years old, and I’m all about snuggling, playing, and running around in the yard. I’m potty-trained and crate-trained, so I’m pretty easy to manage. If you hear me barking, it’s usually just because I heard something that startled me—but don’t worry, I’m easy to redirect and get back to my calm self. I get along great with everyone—dogs, cats, kids—you name it! I’m friendly with all my furry and human friends. I can be a little shy outside, especially in new environments, but I’d love to explore all your favorite places with you (once I get a little more comfortable, of course). When it's time for walks, I’m still a work in progress. I freeze up sometimes when I’m on a leash, but I’m getting better! I would like a home with a fenced yard until I can master my leash skills. I do great with potty breaks in the fenced yard and then heading back inside (I’m not a fan of the cold Minnesota winters, you see). A doggy friend would really help me to be brave! I love to chew on sticks, run around like a little whirlwind in the yard, and snuggle with stuffed toys. I’m a little nervous around overwhelming commotion, so a calm environment would be ideal for me. I know my “come” command, and I’m always ready to follow you wherever you go! I’d fit into just about any home—whether you have other dogs, kids, or just want a mellow companion, I’m your girl! I’m ready to bring some sweetness and cuddles to my forever home.
