I am still pretty terrified of the world and looking for a furever family that will be patient with me while I learn that the world is not a scary place and humans are kind. I spend most of my time hiding right now, and have shown improvement coming out and doing little tail wags, but after my most recent vet appointment I am back to being a very scared again. I know my furever family is out there and they will be willing to give me the time and space I need to come out of my shell and show you how great of a pup I can be.

I’m a 7-year-old Shih Tzu, and if you’ve ever dreamed of having your own personal Ewok, I might just be the gal for you! At 10 pounds, I’m the perfect size for snuggling up on the couch or being carried around—which is something I love. I’m a laid-back little lady who enjoys exploring the yard (though I do get a little sneaky and might try to crawl under a fence if there’s a gap). When we’re out and about, I’m calm but prefer being held over walking on a leash. I’m not fully potty trained yet, but I’m working on it. I do well on a leash for short potty breaks and exercise, but I sometimes freeze and need a little encouragement. A family with patience will help me continue to improve! At home, I’m an excellent companion—I can be left alone outside of a crate without getting into trouble, and I’m just as comfortable resting in a crate if needed. I have dry eyes and need a little extra TLC with my eye drops and ointment, but I’m very cooperative about it. Soft food is my preference since I only have a few teeth left, but I’m not picky about treats! I get along with cats, kids, and even big dogs. If a playful pup gets too rowdy, I’ll simply walk away to do my own thing—no drama here. I bark only when alarmed, so I’m generally a quiet, respectful housemate. Meet Gary! Besides being cute as a button, Gary is playful, smart, independent, demanding, a cuddlier and ready for his forever home. He loves being outside, walks great on a harness and leash, mostly house trained, knows sit, come and working on wait. Gary's very favorite thing to do it fetching a ball.  He can do it for hours!  He also likes to gather his toys and put them in a pile. Gary is very independent and likes his space.  He will go off and find a quiet place to take a nap.  He also can be demanding and vocal when he needs to go outside, wants to eat or wants a ball thrown.  He is great with people, dogs, cats, and older children but due to liking his space Gary is best in an adult home.  Gary would love another pup to play with and a fenced yard to run free for hours!! Meet Khloe (that's me!), your next furry BFF! I'm here searching for a family, a home...one I can say will be ALL mine! I'm around 3years old which puts me at a fabulous age...out of the puppy destructive stage but still active and playful. I am super sweet but am a tad bit on the shy side at first meet. Once I warm up to you I will for sure shower you with all the love I've got stored up! I am super affectionate in my foster home. I love snuggling with you on the couch and I love anything soft. Your lap, a fluffy blanket, a pillow, a doggie bed if I have to, but I'd rather be closer to you. I also do great with the other pups at my foster home and I mostly just leave the resident kitty alone. I come in at about 9lbs which is also a pawsomely perfect size for, well yes, everything. Neighborhood strolls, mild concrete nature trails, co-piloting errand runs, supervising yard work, you name it I'm the gal for the task at hand!! I was born with my back legs deformed but I can scoot around in the house pretty darn well!! I don't even realize I'm not like the others. I can even go up and down stairs. I just can't jump up on the couch but I will sit there and stare at you until you lift me up! I'm still just one of the sweetest girls you'll have the pleasure to meet. My foster mom got me a wheelchair and I went for my very first walk. I stopped and looked at this and stopped to smell that... with a smile on my face the whole time!! I will need regular grooming to keep me looking this spectacular! A few weekly brushings and maybe a trip to the groomer every so often is a small price for this much gorgeousness in one compact package!! Unfortunately my previous home didn't do that and I had to be shaved the whole way as my coat was super matted. But not to worry, it does grow back!! I will make a great companion for a family that is looking for a sweet lil girl that will be your BFF, your lil sidekick in all your life's adventures from mundane daily to weekend exciting!!!
