Story
Hi! My name is Nika. I am a 12 year old female Shih Tzu. I was recently surrendered to a shelter by no fault of my own. The shelter helped to get me healthy with a dental and a mastectomy. I am having one of my eyes removed soon, but that won't slow me down! I would like to have a playmate and a fenced yard. I am deaf and it helps me having a buddy around and the fence will keep me safe. My foster Mom says I am adorable and such a sweet pup. I would have to agree with her, I am great! I am having so much fun with my foster siblings. Young kids probably aren't a good fit for me, since I am easily startled being deaf.If you are looking for another member of your family, please fill out an application for ME! I can't wait to find my furever home. All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Betty and Judy are a bonded pair, possibly dumped by a breeder in TX. Betty is deaf but she doesn't let it slow her down. She is always happy. Foster mom has been working on hand signals for down and she understands. She follows Judy outside and will not come in until Judy does but does a pretty good job of going potty outside. These girls love to play together and eat together in their big crate. At night they sleep together on a dog bed. Betty will also make sure to let you know when it is time to eat. If you are interested in adopting Betty and Judy, please fill out the application on our website - www.foreverhomedogs.org. Their adoption fee for both dogs is $500All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Story
My name is Sam the Shitzu. My foster mom says I am a bundle of energy, so she was more than surprised to hear I am about 5 years old. I live with 4 fur-fosters about my size. During the day we love running around outside chasing squirrels or racing for toys my foster mom throws for us. We each sleep in our own crates for naps (while humans are away) and bedtime. I am relatively quiet in my crate throughout the night unless I hear a noise or know my humans are around. Sometimes I do get lonely and I will let the world know, lol. Yes, I am a barker, and I might be mistaken for a larger dude, unlike a yippy pomeranian. I travel well in a crate in the car, it did take a couple rides to get used to it, I will admit. I walk best on a leash with a harness; I am a bit stubborn and insist on leading the way, yes “it’s my way or the highway”! I do love being the center of attention. I will jump onto the chair to sit next to you. I love being pet, and although I do not growl I do get nippy when I play and get excited to play! But you cannot blame me! I have been sick and hurting for a long time and NOW that I have my horrible hernia repaired, am neutered and had big bladder stones removed, AND my cherry eye repaired! I am HAPPY AND PLAYFUL!! I feel like I am reliving my puppyhood and am looking for someone who can keep up with me! My diet consists of Honest Kitchen (great for hiding liquid medicine) and some treats like bell and sweet peppers (so-so), cooked smashed carrots, cucumber (so-so), papaya, pineapple, cheeses, hard boiled egg… most of which are great for hiding pills of any sort. I cannot wait to meet my furever family 💕 I have so much love to give. My furever family will be a happy and loving family, older kids are better than the young ones, active and do not live in an apartment because i do bark. I would love to have someone who works from home so I can cuddle and play ALL DAY LONG!! But I am good in a crate if you need to leave me :D ADOPT ME SOON!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Pappy the Shih Tzu mix. I am not sure why I got the name of Pappy, because that sounds like I am about a hundred years old. Which I am certainly not! I am only about 2 and have lots of years left in me. I suppose foster mom did that because I was in the box with my probable kids. I don’t have DNA or anything but they kind of look like me so I will claim them. They are pretty good guys and I like them. We hang around like the 3 amigos, and then we got squished together in that darn cardboard box and let at Cavenders dealership. That was just plain rude! Fortunately, we were found before we melted, and brought to rescue. There we received food, and beds, and medical care. I am in pretty good shape now, got all the shots up to date, no heartworms, have a microchip if I lose my new owner on a walk, and boy is it nice to have a yard to run in instead of a box. I wasn’t impressed with getting the snip snip but it was worth the trade off! I am looking for a forever home, so if it is with you, please apply for me soon! My adoption fee locally is $350 in Texas. Out-of-state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
