Story
Molly is a senior Shih Tzu born August 2017.  Her owner, whom she lived with since she was a puppy, has passed away recently so Molly is looking for a new forever home.   She's very shy when meeting new people and prefers being around women.   Molly is housebroken and will go outside on her own if she has a pet door.   She might also try to sneak out an open door if not watched closely and will definitely let you know if there is a dog outside.  Molly is leash trained and will be ready to go on short walks with you or go for a car ride to get a pup cup!    The perfect home for Molly is a place with a fenced yard where she could be the only dog.   Patience may also be needed as she learns the rules of a new home.  Molly hasn't been around smaller children but has done well going for walks with older children. The suggested adoption donation for Molly is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.   Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.  Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.  ##2301872##

Story
Are you a fan of tiny, white, fluffy, cloud-looking, adorable dogs?! If so, you're in luck! I will come right out and say, I'm not typically a fan of these little fellows; but somehow, someway, Eli has stolen my heart. He has the most hilarious personality, where he's got a spring in his step, and a constantly wiggling little butt, and I can't help myself, and I adore him. So I know you will, too! Now, I wish I could blame his goofy haircut on the fact that he misbehaved while I was giving him a groom, but - it was quite the opposite. He sat there, letting me do what I needed to do, like a little gentleman if you must; and it was allllll user-error on my end. He was an absolute peach! Eli gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs; making him just THAT much easier to get home! In fact, he's already crate-trained, knows basic commands, and we are confident he's at least touched on house-breaking, as there's no little dog like this; with such an amazing disposition that hasn't lived in a home before! Eli is only just over a year old, and weighs in around 10 pounds!

Story
Max is a Shih Tzu mix puppy, born September 2024.  He is very good with kids and other dogs.  He loves to snuggle and would love to take a nap with you.  Max also enjoys toys and playing.  He will need help with potty training since he's still a puppy.  He will also welcome any other training you can offer, including leash training.  Max is adjusting to his new surroundings in his foster home.  We'll post updates as we learn more about him.  Please help us find this sweet boy a new home! The suggested adoption donation for Max is $500, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Story
Judy and Betty are a bonded pair, possibly dumped by a breeder in TX. These girls love to play together and eat together in their big crate. At night they sleep together on a dog bed. Judy is potty pad trained but will also potty outside. She is a bit guarded with strangers, especially men. If you are interested in adopting Betty and Judy, please fill out the application on our website - www.foreverhomedogs.org. Their adoption fee for both dogs is $500All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Story
Betty and Judy are a bonded pair, possibly dumped by a breeder in TX. Betty is deaf but she doesn't let it slow her down. She is always happy. Foster mom has been working on hand signals for down and she understands. She follows Judy outside and will not come in until Judy does but does a pretty good job of going potty outside. These girls love to play together and eat together in their big crate. At night they sleep together on a dog bed. Betty will also make sure to let you know when it is time to eat. If you are interested in adopting Betty and Judy, please fill out the application on our website - www.foreverhomedogs.org.
