Hi there… my name is Gizmo, and I’m looking for a soft place to land. 💛 I’m an 8-year-old Shih Tzu mix, tiny enough to fit just about anywhere — I’m under 10 pounds! I can be a little shy and nervous when we first meet, but if you give me a little patience and kindness, I warm up and become a sweet little companion. I get along well with other dogs and would love a calm home where I can feel safe and loved. My hair was pretty matted when I was rescued, so right now I’m rocking a short haircut… but underneath it all I’m a beautiful ginger girl and my fluffy coat will grow back gorgeous in no time. I do have dry eye, so I’ll need eye drops to help keep me comfortable. I’m a simple girl otherwise — cozy beds, gentle people, and little walks sound perfect to me. Story
Clark is a sweet, loyal dog. He is a 7 year old shmorkie who we got at 2 weeks old. Clark gets along well with our 11 year old Shih Tzu, but dogs he is unfamiliar with, he will bark and be unfriendly. When we had our twins in 2021 Clark began being more anxious where he would hide under the bed/behind the couch and have uncharacteristic accidents in the house. We figured as the kids grew up Clark’s behavior would change, but he is still a very anxious and not his old self. We also moved from a 4 bedroom house with a big fenced in yard to a condominium with much less space. We love Clark and want him to have a happy life, so we’ve decided to rehome him. Clark would thrive in a situation with no kids as the only animal. He needs space, preferably a yard to run around and just lay in the sun.

Meet Dan - De - Lion (or Dan) This adorable scruffy little guy is estimated to be around 5–8 years old and weighs just 10lbs. Maybe Shih Tzu, maybe Chihuahua, maybe a little bit of both - whatever he is, he’s absolutely precious. ❤️ Dandelion was dealt a rough hand (or paw). He was found alone after surviving a coyote attack and later was diagnosed with probable Cushing’s disease. Thankfully, he’s currently doing very well on an affordable over-the-counter supplement given just once daily. Dan is the definition of a sweet companion. He loves people, attention, belly rubs, snacks, and simply being near his humans. He’s quiet, friendly, walks nicely on a leash, and doesn’t mind relaxing alone in his pen when needed. He has been fully vetted, including recent lab work and a dental, and is officially ready to find the forever family he deserves. Dandelion is dog friendly with calm, respectful dogs, though he’s more interested in peacefully coexisting than playing. After everything he’s been through, we would love nothing more than to see this little survivor finally get his happy ending.

Their humans backstory is heartbreaking, all they have known for the last 11 and 12 years of their lives is love. Unfortunately, their humans experienced a tragedy that made the impossible decision to surrender them to rescue. This was not easy for their family. They were absolutely heartbroken, and it is clear these seniors were deeply loved and well cared for. Our hope now is to find all three of forever home together. whether that be through fostering or adoption, so they can live out the rest of their days surrounded by love, not inside a shelter.
