Snoopy found us on a rainy day. He was running the neighborhood and ran into our garage. We looked for his owners, contacted all shelters within a 50 mile radius, but nothing. So we adopted him. Our kids were about 4 years old at the time. He was so good with them and they loved him. That was 10 years ago. Snoopy prefers a home where the owner will be home with him during the day as he urinates frequently. He will go on a wee wee pad if need be though. He is a well behaved, loving dog. We need to rehome him due to some human health issues we are going through. He gets along with all other animals and loves people.

Meet Our Sweet Shih Tzu – Looking for a Loving Retirement Home We’ve had our Shih Tzu since he was a puppy in 2012, and he’s been a loyal, cuddly companion ever since. He’ll be 13 this year and still has bursts of energy when he gets excited, but he’s mostly content relaxing by your side. He knows basic tricks like shake, roll over, sit, and stay (when he’s in the mood), and he loves to be near his people. He’s gentle, affectionate, and still enjoys short walks and calm playtime. He has chronic ear infections and dry eyes, which we manage with daily ear and eye drops. He’s used to the routine and cooperates well, but he needs someone comfortable with ongoing care. We’re heartbroken to rehome him due to our kids’ allergies, but we’re hoping to find someone who will spend time with him, understand senior dog care, and make his final years full of love and comfort.

Meet Oddie! This Shih Tzu is turning into a spunky, cuddly boy! Oddie is now able to leave to a home of his own. He is house and crate trained, good with other dogs but does like to pick on and chase cats. He’s 9yrs old, 18lbs and would do best in an adult only home. One where he can go for occasional walks, have plenty of toys, and a soft couch to hang out with his person. Oddie doesn’t care to be messed with grooming wise. You can bathe him and wipe his face here and there but nail trims and grooms send him into a crazy frenzy. We’re not sure what past experiences were like. Or maybe he was never worked with while young. Either way he’s not a fan of them at all and will likely have to be medicated/sedated to be completely groomed.
