Story
Oscar is the sweetest and kindest soul, He is OLD. There's no other way to describe him, His skin is in rough shape, bumpy and has rough patches, it looks like he has had some grooming in the past, but there's not been attention to flea treatment or actual bathing. His nails were far too long for comfort. He was very dirty when he came to us. Oscar was very sweet and gentle in spite of this. Noting this, we can say that Oscar likes a soft bed, good food (he's very thin), and his own space. He will give a little low growl to let you know that he likes to lay quietly right where he is. Ideally, we could see Oscar in a home that understands he needs patience, love, and a soft place to lay, in a calm and quiet environment. Oscar can't see well, probably can't hear great. He is in line for a vet exam and hopefully we will be able to get his remaining teeth cared for. We know that Oscar is at least 14 years old because he came to Rescue with a microchip that was placed 14 years ago. There was no contact information with the chip. Sadly, an owner couldn't be identified. We are hoping to give this elderly guy a gentle loving here-on-out home. He deserves this.

Say hello to Timothy! Timothy is an 8-month-old, 10-pound, Shih Poo (Shih Tzu/Poodle mix) who loves to play and is a loyal boy to his people! Timothy is working on being house trained and has made great progress. He will need someone who is patient with him while he is still learning about the world around him. He is a smart boy who catches on quick and his foster family thinks he has great potential! As mentioned, Timothy will be a loyal dog to his adopter. He loves to follow his person or people around and be close at all times. He wants to be your one and only and you will find him in your shadow. He likes to play with other dogs and be in on the action but loves to be boss. Timothy has a very sweet, loving personality and would make a great companion! Timothy is being fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. His adoption fee is $450.00. Name:  Mickey Age: 9 years Weight: 14 lbs Adoption Fee: $250.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes, other low energy dogs  Good with cats?  Yes  Meet  Mickey , a 9-year-old Shih Tzu with a heart full of love. Despite his blindness and deafness,  Mickey  navigates life with a goofy grin and a mellow attitude. His gentle nature makes him the perfect companion. He may not see or hear you, but he feels your presence, your touch, your kindness. And he will find you if you have food!    Mickey  is a testament to resilience, showing us that joy can be found even in the face of challenges. His happy demeanor and gentle spirit make him an exceptional friend.  Mickey  does well with other low energy dogs, cats, and even made friends with the bunny in his foster home. He's potty trained and loves going for walks. He's also a big fan of toys and enjoys playing just as much as enjoys snuggling up in a comfy bed.    Due to glaucoma,  Mickey  had surgery to remove both his eyes. Once he's healed up, he'll feel much better without the pain and pressure. Blind dogs do very well and it’s easy to forget they can’t see because they navigate around the home so well. To keep him happy and healthy Mickey needs  allergy meds that cost about $45 a month.  Mickey is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $250.00.   He’d love to have a home for the holidays!
