Meet Oddie! He’s a 9yr old, 18lbs Shih Tzu. He was surrendered to us recently due to his dislike for the grandkids. He was pretty much one giant mat. His owner said that he does not like to be brushed, shaved, or groomed in anyway. We did take him to our vet where they had to sedate him to shave him down. He is looking and feeling much better, even allows his foster to gently brush him! Now while he’s quite adorable and does love to be on your lap getting all the love, he does have some little dog attitude. He doesn’t like to be told ‘no’ on some things nor does he like to be groomed or have his nails clipped still. Oddie likely would do best in a home with adults. He has done ok with other dogs and confident cats! Oddie does need eye drops for dry eye in his left eye. He does not like this either and will need his face wrapped up with a towel for it or muzzled.
