Story
❗Current location: in a private shelter in South Korea❗ Meet Philip 👋 This adorable pup was found wandering the streets of Paju, South Korea, in January 2022 when he was just 2 months old. He and his siblings were sent to a high-kill city pound, where they faced an uncertain fate. Thankfully, HDS Rescue stepped in and brought them to safety at a private shelter. Ever since then, Philip has been waiting for his chance to experience the warmth of a loving home. He’s ready to thrive and can’t wait to meet his forever family! • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Friendly Philip is as easygoing as they come! He’s friendly with new faces, including men and children, and adapts quickly to new environments. He’s a sweet, social pup who will melt your heart. Calm and gentle, he’s not one to bark unnecessarily. • Affinity with - Dogs: Great with other dogs - Cats: Not tested with cats - Adults/Kids: Gentle and calm when saying hello to children on walks • Walking Manners: Philip is a leash pro—he’s gentle and follows his handler’s lead beautifully. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Housetrained: He’ll need some potty training, but with regular walks, he’s very likely to prefer doing his business outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Not tested but he would tolerate them well • Barks/Howls: No • Car Sickness: On his first car ride, he did great! No drooling or signs of stress, and he’ll only get better with more experience. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Shedding level (1~10): 6-7 • Likes/Dislikes: Philip loves treatos and enjoys greeting humans for pets and attention.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Tank is bonded with Rusty, 10yo, weighs 50-60lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Tank has free roam of the house during the day and sleeps on the couch or on his bed at night.  There are no issues with Tank during car rides.  He does, however, dislike/fear thunder/loud noises. Tank's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  Tank's current guardian is fostering him and Rusty and has been since she rescued them from an untenable living situation in December 2023.  Since their foster provider/guardian already has 2 dogs of her own, she must rehomed them, preferably together. Tank's guardian states the following regarding children:  Tank lives with children, ages birth to 7yo, so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "Similar to Rusty, he likes to be petted but will typically the just relax/find his own spot". Tank's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Tank lives with dogs, so his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "While on walks, he's not too interested in other dogs.  If living in a house with other dogs, I would recommend calm dogs.  I have two small/more active dogs, and Tank doesn't like when they play". Tank's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Tank hasn't lived with cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats. Tank's guardian describes him as: Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Independent Protective Always at your side Indoor dog Nervous House-Trained Likes men Likes women Tank's guardian describes his ideal future home:   "Tank gets very excited to go outside, so I would love for him to have a fenced in yard in his forever home.  I would also really like to place Tank and Rusty together.  Tank gets a little anxious/nervous (it took about 3-4 weeks for him to get settled in my home), so a calmer home would be ideal. I would also love to keep in touch/could be a dog-sitter if/when needed." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Gambrills, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. Story
Ludo is the sweetest Shiba Inu there is! He is 12 years old (almost 13 on March 8, 2025). I had him since he was a puppy and he’s the best dog. He loves people, only needs two walks a day, keeps to himself, grazes his food, and loves to cuddle and look out the window. He is not aggressive with children and other animals, but I do recommend keeping them separate. He can become nervous and act out because of this. He also needs to be watched by open doors because he is an escape artist. He takes daily medication and vitamins which can be discussed. No health issues. He will be your best buddy. A total low maintenance dog.

Story
Looking for a loving home for an amazing dog who is the perfect mix of independent and affectionate. His name is Brownie and he is a little over 4 years old. He is a very sweet dog that is excited to greet you when you get home, loves being near you, but he also respects boundaries. He's not a big barker but will alert you when someone comes to the porch/front door. If you're looking for a well-behaved, low-maintenance dog with a great personality, this could be the perfect match. Please message me if you're interested in giving him a loving home!
