If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Toby, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. Toby is a Shiba Inu. For more information about the breed Shiba Inu, please visit https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/shiba-inu/ to read more about the breed before applying. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Tank is bonded with Rusty, 10yo, weighs 50-60lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Tank has free roam of the house during the day and sleeps on the couch or on his bed at night.  There are no issues with Tank during car rides.  He does, however, dislike/fear thunder/loud noises. Tank's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  Tank's current guardian is fostering him and Rusty and has been since she rescued them from an untenable living situation in December 2023.  Since their foster provider/guardian already has 2 dogs of her own, she must rehomed them, preferably together. Tank's guardian states the following regarding children:  Tank lives with children, ages birth to 7yo, so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "Similar to Rusty, he likes to be petted but will typically the just relax/find his own spot". Tank's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Tank lives with dogs, so his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "While on walks, he's not too interested in other dogs.  If living in a house with other dogs, I would recommend calm dogs.  I have two small/more active dogs, and Tank doesn't like when they play". Tank's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Tank hasn't lived with cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats. Tank's guardian describes him as: Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Independent Protective Always at your side Indoor dog Nervous House-Trained Likes men Likes women Tank's guardian describes his ideal future home:   "Tank gets very excited to go outside, so I would love for him to have a fenced in yard in his forever home.  I would also really like to place Tank and Rusty together.  Tank gets a little anxious/nervous (it took about 3-4 weeks for him to get settled in my home), so a calmer home would be ideal. I would also love to keep in touch/could be a dog-sitter if/when needed." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Gambrills, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. Story
***Courtesy Post*** Cora is a 3 year old Shiba Inu. She is spayed and crate trained. She was Amish bread and May not be full blood Shiba Inu, but that's not known. My family received Cora from one of my co-workers, who was rehoming Cora for her uncle and his wife. As they were aging they became unable to care for Cora and give her the life she needed. We weren't given any history on Cora other than that she needed her shots updated. We got her shots updated at Happy Tails that in Lancaster City. As we were getting to know Cora, she quickly displayed some resource guarding with toys at first. I had a smaller dog who loved to steal the toys and when my smaller dog did that Cora leaped into action and we knew that the dogs needed to be separated. I thought about rehoming Cora at that point but was introduced to Devin Fink and his most gracious training skills through Pink Dog rescue and we began to work with Cora on her resource guarding, behavior and her manners. We definitely were seeing better behavior better, better manners, however she still has some resource guarding behavior issues when she attaches herself to her favorite person. I think Cora would do really well in a single dog home or in a home with bigger dogs who can keep her in check. A family who can maintain her behavior training and are able to look out for her resource guarding and implement accommodations. She really is a good girl she just has some things to work on, like all of us! THANK YOU, LeeAnne [Mobile] (717) 615-0188 [Home] Lancaster, PA You can also contact Canine Services By Devin

Story
Roxy, is a 5 year old spayed Sheba Ina/Klei Klei Mix. She is very intelligent and has a lot of physical and mental energy. She needs daily walks and a yard to run around with a good bit of space. House trained, I trained her to ring the bell at the back door to go outside. Yes, she is good on a leash, no she has not been trained off the leash, she is a runner and chases car tires while they are moving. Roxy absolutely LOVES people and children. However, her breed is known not to get along with other dogs and she has a hunting instinct, (absolutely can NOT live with cats). Covid puppy, not socialized with other dogs. She rarely barks inside the house, if you state, "No barking in the house right now." She will listen. She listens almost all of the time even though they are known to be stubborn breeds. Loves toys, balls, tug a war. I love her,I believe with my health issues, and all the kids have moved out, Roxy will be happy in a home where there is more activity and attention.

❗Current Location: at the private shelter in South Korea❗ • Rescue Story : Say hi to WooNam👋 a sweet handsome boy with serious and goofy faces! WooNam was found on a street in South Korea at just 2 months old in Sep 2021 and taken to a high-risk city shelter along with his brother. Fortunately rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team, the two siblings started living with numerous dogs in their private shelter. Sadly, WooNam hasn’t had a single opportunity to live in a home until now, but his bright nature shines through in the shelter. WooNam is ready to bring joy and excitement to his new forever home! • Personality : Playful, Active, Friendly Woonam has an adorable personality and charm. Being a playful and silly pup, he is very friendly with people including male adults. If you are an active individual or family looking for a loving and energetic furry companion, WooNam may be the perfect match for you as he doesn’t want to sit still and just wants to play and run all day long with his people😆 Woonam sometimes turns into a barker when there are strangers around, so his ideal home would have peaceful and quiet surroundings for him to thrive! • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: WooNam is generally good with other dogs, but he doesn't get along with aggressive ones. -Adults/Kids: Friendly with adults including males / Not tested for kids • Separation Anxiety : No. • Bark or Howl : He becomes a barker when it comes to strangers and dogs he doesn’t like. • Shedding : 5-7 • Food Allergies : No. • Walking Manner : In training but improving! • Housetrained : Despite living in a shelter, he knows how to use pee-pads for the bathroom. • Bath/Brushing : Tolerates well. • Carsickness : Not tested • Like : He LOVES being around people!

Story
Toby loves to be highly active though he can also relax with his family. He loves his K9 buddies and we feel he'd be happiest in a home with another active dog/ dogs. He's still a young dog and needs love and guidance from his humans whom he wants to please. Toby would probably love to be with older children and have a big secure backyard where he can romp and play with with his family and k9 sibling/ siblings. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He can travel anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1501938##
