This handsome boy was brought to us by some kind park staff who witnessed him being cruelly abandoned, but despite that rough start, Quincey’s gentle spirit shines through.He can be understandably cautious when meeting new people, yet once he realizes you’re a friend, his sweet and playful side comes out. And if you happen to have a few french fries on hand, you’ll make fast friends! Quincey is looking for a patient, loving home where he can feel safe, gain confidence, and enjoy the happy life he deserves.This pet is available for adoption on 11/2/2025 1:39 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Meet Ace Ace is a handsome 1 year, 7 month old male German Shepherd with a big personality and even bigger energy. He’s a smart, active young dog who’s ready for a home that can keep up with him and help him continue learning the ropes.Ace has been around other dogs and young kids, but because of his enthusiasm and energy, he may accidentally knock little ones over—so supervision and guidance are important. He previously lived as an outdoor dog and is still adjusting to indoor life, including getting comfortable walking on hardwood floors and tile. With patience, encouragement, and consistency, he’s already making progress and learning that the indoors aren’t so scary after all.Ace would thrive with an active family or individual who understands the needs of a young German Shepherd and is excited to continue his training and confidence-building. German Shepherds and GSD mixes are a special breed of dog with special requirements. These dogs were bred to have a job, and without the right activity level/purpose they won’t flourish which can lead to issues down the road.
