Story
Meet Mia a 4-year-old, 70-80 lb fully vaccinated and spayed beauty who thrives in a structured environment and has consistently proven herself easy to work with, responsive, and eager to please. Mia is looking for a calm, confident adopter who can offer her the routine and structure, which is where she thrives! She&#39ll do well in a dog-savvy home and gets along with other dogs when management is clear and calm. We recommend a home without young children; teens may be fine with guidance. Over the years, she&#39s completed several training programs--passing each with flying colors! . To support her in her next chapter, Happy Gentle Dogs will provide a complimentary Board & Train before adoption, along with a smooth, hands-on transfer and follow-up support to set everyone up for success. Mia has a solid foundation and a big heart. If you&#39re ready to meet her with patience and purpose, we&#39d love to hear from you. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Mia is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.November 26, 2025, 11:46 am

Story
Luna is a wonderful dog with people - very loving, cuddly and sweet. She is spayed, house-trained, current on all vaccinations, enjoys being petted, and has a calm temperament. She is a fantastic companion that will lie at your feet or on the couch with you watching TV. She loves to eat and will never turn down a treat and weighs around 65 lbs. We got Luna from the shelter in March of 2022, and the shelter told us she was close to a year old and dog friendly. We have always had multiple dogs, and everything was great for about a year. Then she started to show signs of being dog aggressive. We have been keeping her separate from our other dogs, but as time has gone by it&#39s become worse, and we need to find Luna a home where she is the only animal. The shelter thought she was a mix Belgian Malinois/Shepherd, but when we did the DNA testing the big three were Staffordshire, Piti and Husky. She is a sweet animal with people and everyone loves her but just can&#39t be around other animals. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Luna is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.August 4, 2025, 12:44 am

Story
Buddy is a healthy, happy 1.5-year-old Husky mix weighing about 55 pounds. With a zest for life and a heart full of love, he&#39s always ready for fetch, hikes, and outdoor fun! He&#39s the perfect mix of playful energy and loyal companionship. Buddy gets along with most dogs when introduced properly, though he prefers smaller playgroups. He&#39s potty trained, food-motivated, and a quick learner--just bring treats and watch him shine! Buddy&#39s still figuring out how he feels about cats and kids, but he&#39s open to meeting them with a patient, loving family. He&#39s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to go. Found as a stray in a local park, Buddy is now searching for a forever home where he can feel safe, have fun, and be part of the family. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Buddy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.September 7, 2025, 11:31 pm
