Now accepting applications for Thor! Thor is a 14 month old neutered king shepherd/lab mix. If you are interested in meeting Thor please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab then Adoptable Animals and scroll to his handsome face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Thor to be sure he is the right fit for you. If after meeting him you decide he is not the dog for you there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Thor is a wonderful boy! His family loved him dearly but were unable to find housing that would allow Thor to join them. Thor has lived with little children 2 and 4 years old and loved them. As a pup he was attacked by another dog and can be a bit guarded when meeting new dogs. If you do a slow introduction he could live with another dog. Thor has not been around cats. Thor doesn't pull on leash, but has no clue what you want him to do on a walk. Our staff are working on this with him daily and he is showing improvement. He is very respectful indoors and does not come up on the furniture unless he is invited. When it comes to bedtime, he would like to be on the bed for a cuddle, but if told no he will sleep beside the bed or in his dog bed. Thor is tall and could easily grab food off of the counter, but is way too much of a gentleman for that. Thor is a pretty big boy weighing 45.9kg/101lbs. He is strong but walks pretty well on leash. Thor's adoption fee is $300, he is neutered, started on his vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Thor yourself but still want to help? Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Tobi to be sure she is the right fit for you. If after meeting her you decide she is not the puppy for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! If Tobi looks familiar to you, it's because she was sweet little Lenny a couple of months ago. Tobi was adopted by a wonderful couple who unfortunately had some health issues arise that limit their ability to care for her. The decision to bring her back was not easy, but they knew they had to do the right thing for Tobi as she is a young active pup and loves to go for walks. Tobi has lived with other dogs, kids, and cats and should be an easy transition to any home. Tobi is super sweet, loves to snuggle, and has been working hard on her training! She can sit, is house broken and loves to play. Tobi's adoption fee is $400 which includes a $100 spay deposit. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations including rabies and she is microchipped. Now accepting applications for Sasha! Sasha is a 3-year-old spayed female Siberian husky mix. If you are interested in meeting Sasha please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her beautiful face to submit your application. Once your application has been approved we will contact you to come spend some time with Sasha to be sure she is the right fit for you. If after meeting her you decide she is not the dog for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Sasha loves people and has a tendency to forget her manners in her excitement to greet them. But once she settles down she is a lovely girl. Sasha cannot live in a home with cats. She does have a little resource guarding toward food and treats so that would be something her new family will want to work with and be cautious of until she gets to know you. Husky's are energetic dogs and require daily exercise. Long walks, bike rides or a game of fetch are wonderful ways to help Sasha drain her energy and make a lifelong connection with her new family. Sasha's adoption fee is $300, she is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Sasha yourself but still want to help? You can share her post or make a donation toward her care by clicking the following link. Thank you for your support! https://checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/mjaw
