Story
Meet Dozer fka Whiskey: Dozer is a beautiful two-year old German Shepherd that weighs around 75 pounds. Dozer is a very sweet and very playful dog. He loves people and seeks attention. He is good with other dogs, kids 7+, and with his foster family’s cats. Dozer’s background: He was in a shelter in Mississippi and was scheduled to be euthanized and thankfully Charlie's Crusaders was able to rescue him in time. He was adopted into a loving home where he was loved.  Unfortunately, Dozer’s adopter recently passed away unexpectedly. Thankfully, Dozer is now being fostered by a loving family in the Drums, PA area while he awaits his forever home. Dozer will require a fenced in yard and adopters with breed experience. Dozer is up to date on all his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adopting Dozer fka Whiskey, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Hi there! My name is Bernard, and I’m a spirited Siberian Husky with a story to tell.I wandered into the shelter as a stray (we Huskies are famous for our love of adventure), but sadly, no one came to claim me. Now, I’m on the hunt for a forever home where I can thrive and share my unique personality!Let’s get the important stuff out of the way: experience with Huskies (or similar high-energy breeds) is a must for adopting me. My new family should understand the quirks of my breed—like my love for exploring, occasional mischief, and my vocal talents. Here’s the scoop on me:-- I’m still learning the ropes of crate training. Sometimes I can be left alone without issue, but boredom often gets the better of me. When it does, I might sing you the song of my people or help myself to things that may (or may not) belong to me.-- I used to live with another dog in my foster home and really thrive with a canine buddy. I absolutely must have a doggie companion in my forever home—it helps me stay balanced and happy.-- Cats and small furry animals? Not a good match. My instinct to chase is strong, and I wouldn’t want to cause any trouble.-- I love people, but I tend to play rough. Sometimes I forget that humans aren’t dogs, and my big size and enthusiasm can be a bit much. Because of this, I need a home with humans aged 15 or older who can handle a boisterous pup like me.Despite my mischievous streak, I’m a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion. With the right training, patience, and a dog-savvy home, I’ll be the best Husky you could ever ask for.Do you have room in your life for an adventurous, goofy boy like me? If you think we’re a match, come meet me at the shelter—I can’t wait to make you smile!---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Story
Hi, I`m Kris! I am everything you would expect a husky to be: playful, energetic, talkative, and headstrong. Did I mention I like to hear the sound of my own voice? I just have so much to say and a really big personality. I am open to possibly living with other animals with proper introduction. I am a very social pack animal who enjoys being around people as much as possible. If you are lonely and want a conversational friend, then you`re in luck! I am not too keen on being cooper up in the shelter, and cannot wait to have my own furever home. I am a skilled escape artist so it would be best to keep me leashed and fenced if possible. Could I be the one for you?---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org
