Story
Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans.  This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall.   We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them.  He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company.  He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs due to early starvation. Handsome Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time.  This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner.  He would love to cuddle with you and be your adored companion.  He has such potential…..such love and such a need to grow and evolve into a fine companion in life.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in this big baby!  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Gemma is our super smart and happy German Shepherd girl that is a real gem of a dog. This girl is 6 years old and weighs in on the smaller side of a GSD at just 60 pounds.  She is a genuinely curious and happy girl that has all the right measures of playfulness and lazy cuddly time to her personality.  Her favorite things are stuffed toys and tennis balls. This girl is a 'chill' girl and loves to take lots of naps during the day.  Meet Panda Girl: Your New Best Friend!  Name: Panda Girl  Breed: Husky Mix  Age: 2-3 years old Weight: 48 pounds   Let us tell you about Panda Girl's journey which hasn't been easy. She was found at an abandoned house, left in a dirty pen with two other dogs, surviving without food or water for some time. For the past 9 months Panda Girl has been sadly waiting patiently for her forever home at a small town shelter, existing in a dark and depressing, tiny concrete cell. Despite her tough start, Panda Girl is a true sweetheart and still has a great attitude and grateful for any attention or moment outside her cell in the play yard. This girl is able to stay out in the play yard a lot because she gets along well with other dogs and adores everyone she meets. Her time in the shelter's play yard shows that she still has a  playful spirit and friendly nature.  This poor girl needs a break from this mundane existence in a shelter.  9 months is sheer torture and we hope someone will help her get out by fostering or even better, adopting.  Panda Girl deserves a loving family who will give her the care and companionship she craves.
