Story
Hi! I'm Berlin, an exceptionally handsome 2-year-old Husky, weighing in at 55 pounds of playful affection. I'm eagerly looking to find my pack and here to tell you a bit about me in case you're it!Although I can be momentarily a bit shy when first meeting someone, I'll quickly warm up and consider you a friend. I become incredibly affectionate to anyone that gets to know me, showering my people with plenty of kisses and snuggles. I have the most adorable habit of wrapping my legs around yours to keep you close.I LOVE dogs and gladly co-habitate with 3 resident pups currently in my foster home. I'll show a friendly hello to other dogs out and about by sniffing and wagging my tail. When it comes to cats, we shouldn't mix. As for kids, I have previously lived harmoniously with an eight-year-old and would likely do well with kids of any age, although the younger ones may get knocked over! When it comes to crate training, I am pretty awesome as I particularly like the comfort my crate provides, and am used to sleeping and eating in my crate. Although I might be slightly bummed when you leave the house initially, I'll settle into some time alone with no issues and don't get anxious. I also am chill in the car, and am always ready for a new adventure. As with many dogs my breed, I can be vocal in communicating with my humans, but mostly when I need to go out and want to play or when you've just come back and I want to say hello. I'm not particularly vocal all things considered.I'm a guy with energy so I thrive most on regular exercise and would benefit from a tall fenced-in yard (e.g., 6-foot privacy fence would be the best) where I can run and play safely.I can be a bit picky with my food choices, but with trial and error you'll figure out some of my favorite things, like zucchini and sweet potato, I'm a healthy guy! You'll want to be sure to give me a good brush/groom regularly to keep me looking my best with my beautiful thick coat.My priorities for my ideal home include love, patience and plenty of playtime! Are you looking for an affectionate, playful pup in return? Whether it's chasing toys, enjoying cuddles on the couch, or going for a run, I'll always be your loyal companion to take on life with.If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling:https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Story
Luna is a 6 to 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing in at 100 pounds of pure love. She's the perfect blend of playful and chill, always ready for a walk or a cozy snuggle session. Luna's favorite pastime? Enjoying her squeaky toy, Poppy—a pop tart-shaped toy that she loves to gently squeak while relaxing.Luna is the epitome of a loyal, gentle, and protective companion. She forms deep bonds with her family, making her the perfect guardian. While she can be a bit wary of strangers, especially in her home, Luna is working with a professional trainer to manage her anxiety around new people. With continued training, she’ll keep growing and learning to be more comfortable with unfamiliar faces.Fully house-trained, Luna knows exactly when it’s time to go outside, signaling by lying down or heading to the back door. She’s also crate-trained, viewing her crate as a safe and relaxing haven.Luna enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along well with her foster family's resident pup. She’s friendly with neighbor dogs too, though her interactions are mainly through the fence. Currently, she lives with two teenage girls and does wonderfully with them. However, because of her cautious nature around strangers, Luna might be best suited to a home without small children. She’s also not compatible with cats.Even though Luna is alert to people outside, she's unbothered by typical house or neighborhood sounds, making her well-suited for homes with shared walls. A yard isn’t a must for Luna—she’s adaptable to various living spaces. While she does need calming medication for vet visits, she’s otherwise healthy and ready to be someone’s perfect companion.Luna would thrive in a quieter home, ideally with a single woman or a household with a few women, where visitors are infrequent. She’s a gentle soul who will give endless love and loyalty to her new family.Luna’s past might be a mystery, but her future is bright. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion, Luna could be the perfect fit for your home.If you are interested in Luna, fill out an application using the link below to get the ball rolling!https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Story
Kenzo is a 2-year-old Husky and pure joy on four legs! Weighing around 60 pounds, his happy-go-lucky spirit turns every moment into an adventure, and every person he meets becomes his new best friend. Kenzo has perfected the art of balancing high energy with good behavior—whether it’s going for long hikes, zooming around the yard, or chilling quietly when you’re away. When it’s time for a walk, Kenzo can hardly contain his excitement. He greets every adventure with the most endearing little spin-hops, like a ballerina mid-celebration. Plush toys—especially those Duluth Trading Co. beavers—are his prized possessions, and nothing makes him happier than a good tug-of-war session. He’s also a sucker for car rides, eagerly sticking his head out the window to soak in the breeze and greet the world.Despite his high energy, Kenzo knows how to behave indoors. He’s house-trained (zero accidents so far!) and perfectly happy either in his crate or free-roaming. While he thrives on activity, Kenzo channels his energy positively and isn’t destructive when left alone. Unlike the typical Husky "opera singer," he’s surprisingly quiet—just a few barks when the doorbell rings and playful grumbles when the mood strikes.Kenzo has lived with kids before and did wonderfully—his only challenge is remembering not to overwhelm them with play. As for other pets, he’s friendly and interested in dogs, making him a great candidate for a home with another playful pup. Cats, however, are a no-go—he has a classic Husky prey drive, so it’s better to skip feline roommates.Kenzo’s past hasn’t been all sunshine. He came from a neglectful situation, arriving underweight and in need of care. But you’d never guess it from his attitude! He radiates love and positivity, proving every day that no hardship can dim his spirit. With good food and care, he’s already bouncing back and gaining weight steadily.Kenzo is not a candidate for apartment living, but it's possible that he could live in a condo or townhome. Of course, a fenced yard would be a dream, but an active family who can love him is all that matters. He doesn’t need humans home 24/7, though he’d definitely prefer a family that enjoys spending time with him. While he’s okay being alone, a playful canine companion and regular outdoor time would keep him happiest. If you’re ready to welcome a dog who treats every day like the best one ever—and wants to share that joy with you—Kenzo is waiting! Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or quiet cuddles, he’ll be by your side, spreading happiness at every turn. This boy has so much love to give and can’t wait to find his forever family—are you ready for a lifetime of spin-hops, zoomies, and smiles?
