Story
Location: Byron, MN Elf is about 40 pounds, Happy, Healthy and fully Vetted. Elf is Potty and Kennel trained, He sleeps all night in his kennel and is out during the day with no issues. He loves the outdoors and to play fetch. He knows Sit, Stay and Wait. He is a smart, active puppy who is ready for his forever home He is skittish at first with new people and does bark at first sight of strangers, but redirects after he is comfortable. He is good with our house dog (shitzu) with reminders to be careful. He would do well with another large dog to play with, but can be an only pet. As fun and energetic as he can be, he also makes the perfect cuddle companion on those slow nights at home. At only 11 months old, he has a long life to share with you and your family --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: Sioux Falls, SD I'm very smart and like learning new tricks. I am a bit of a Velcro dog- don't be surprised if I peek my head in the shower just to make sure you're still there. I want to play, but I'm more of a fan of "chase me than fetch, but I'm getting better at bringing the ball back and dropping it. When I'm super excited, I like to try and talk- I guess that's the husky in me! I would love to be a lap dog but I'm a big girl. I am house trained - I have had zero accidents in my home. I chew my toys, but not the shoes. I take treats very gently. I love going on walks but get excited by small critters and other dogs/people. I do walk best in a harness. I'm told I have a prey drive toward smaller animals - cats, dogs, squirrels, bunnies. I am dog selective and need slow intros to other dogs. I would be ok with another dog in the home as long as they are my size or bigger and we've had proper introductions with plenty of supervised playtime. I need a fenced in backyard and have been known to jump over a smaller fence. 5 feet is good. I do great in my kennel. I go in easily with a little treat as a reward. I rarely bark, mostly at those darn squirrels that chatter at me from the tree. As you can see, I'm gorgeous and I know it. I hate to brag, but my foster says I'm a very sweet, loving, smart, goofy, playful dog. I need a family that understands that I may never be a dog that can go to the dog park or socially hang out with other dogs due to my dog sensitivity. But I do promise to love you unconditionally and be the sweetest dog ever to my family. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Ruthton, MN Hey there! My name is Joni and I am the sweetest girl you'll ever meet! When I'm playing with other dogs I sometimes turn into a feisty little girl (foster mom says I'm all bark, no bite - whatever that means)! My dream home would be one that comes with a lot of cuddles, treats, and playing outside! I am happiest when I'm playing outside! If you're willing to play with me, we are going to be best friends! My foster mom says I would do best with an active family or another doggy sibling to play with! I love dogs and people of all ages! However, I do like to play a little rough with cats. So, it'd be best if I go to a home with only dogs or with dog savvy cats that can get away from me if I'm playing too rough. They're just so much fun! I'm still getting used to being away from foster mom. She keeps putting me in this thing called a playpen? Weird but whatever! I am quiet during the day and I sleep soundly throughout the night; however, once I hear your alarm clock I will let you know that I am awake! I love playing with toys and chasing my furry friends around! I am also very treat motivated and I love learning new tricks. I am so excited to meet you and I am ready to find my forever home! ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
