Story
Troy isn't your average dog, although we have not done DNA testing on him we are pretty sure he's 33% Husky, 33% Shepherd, and 33% Mountain Goat. He is an active, goofy boy who loves exploring and will climb or jump up onto tables, counters, or anything he thinks he might fit on to see if there is something cool to sniff.OTHER PETS: Troy is a friendly, laid back dog who prefers to hang out with other laid back dogs, he does not appreciate `in your face` play styles and will give appropriate feedback while interacting with other dogs. Troy should meet any dogs he would be living with prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. [Case-by-Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] KIDS: Troy is an active, jumpy dog who would do best living in a home without small humans.[10+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Troy is an active dog who has no problem jumping up on furniture to explore the world around him. Multiple daily walks and plenty of mental enrichment would be a great start; Troy would do well as a hiking companion or agility dog with positive reinforcment. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Troy bond with his new owner as well as help him learn important skills. Further positive reinforcement training would continue to engage Troy's mind and would open up the doors to various dog sports / activities he could engage in with his humans like hiking or agility. [Minimal]GROOMING: Regular brushing will keep Troy's coat clean and matt-free. He may take after his husky side and `blow his coat` twice yearly, professional grooming can help with the increased temporary shedding. [Routine Brushing]January 28, 2025, 11:34 am
