Story
Guppie is well socialized; is friendly but not over exuberant when meeting people, dogs, and cyclists while hiking. Because of his breeds he needs a very active home that can provide at least an hour a day of running, hiking, biking, or swimming. If he doesn't get enough exercise he will be destructive in the home. Guppie is a working/sport dog that would thrive if given a job to do and a person to do it with. He would excel in sports like canicross, bikejoring, dock diving, or nose work; anything that allows him to run or swim and work together with his human.

Story
This kid is about four years old and relies on other dogs to help show him the way. He is a lovebug once he accepts you as his. He lives with two other medium to large dogs and has learned to take cues from them when he is a bit rambunctious. He knows many helpful things like sit, stay, wait, leave it, with me and lay; though he still needs reminders sometimes. He even knows how to catch treatos flying his way! Kavik is looking for someone to continue to help him be brave and accept that there are some things that are a no fly zone without buckets of trust. We take him to All Dogs for baths and nails as they are not his favorite thing. He does great with kennel up at night and while we are gone; I wouldn't suggest free roaming as he might get bored and find something to get in trouble with. He has shown no tendencies to jump fence and run and has a 5' chain at the house. So, while he can jump like a kangaroo, he is content to stay home. He lived with a cat for awhile, but it was her time to cross the rainbow bridge, so he could use a bit more cat testing. He hasn't shown any guarding tendencies with food or toys other than he likes to steal his sisters toys/bones so she can steal them right back.

Story
Clove is such a fun dog! She's very athletic and loves to run! Shes also very cuddly and loves everyone she meets, but seems to love men even more. Her recall and leave it are fantastic and she knows sit and lie down, but has a "what's in it for me attitude until she completely respects you. She's easy to train because she's food motivated, toy motivated, and loves to learn. When hanging out around the house, Clove likes to know where I'm at but does go hang out in another room occasionally. For being a young, high energy dog she is really nice at home. She's well behaved and matches our energy, relaxing when we're hanging out and playing when it's time to play. She loves her ball and stuffies but the stuffies don't always last very long around her. Clove will paw at the door when she needs to go outside and she stays off all the furniture. She is pushy and tests boundaries, but respects me when I stay firm. There are some guarding issues with her food so I've started hand feeding her and asking things of her instead of just giving her a bowl of food. She also doesn't like when the resident dog approaches her toys, food, or kennel but he's respectful of her space and I'm working with her on that as well. She is car reactive, so I wouldn't recommend off leash training, but we're working on her leave it command and she's getting better. Clove needs regular exercise, but even on the days I don't get her out for a long walk she's still a good girl. Clove would do best in a home that has experience with working breeds and would do fine with older children who understand her boundaries. We've met some cats on our walks and she is curious, but doesn't seem to see them as prey. She needs regular activity such as a combination of long walks/runs, playing fetch, and puzzle toys but if you only get her out of the house every other day, she can handle that too. Clove really needs to find a good, active home, she's been at the rescue for far too long and would make a great family pet!
