Story
A shepherd/husky mix (shepsky), I just turned 2 yrs old March 16. I lived in a crate for 18 months before I was rescued. Now I'm a happy dog who rides well in the car and behaves at outdoor restaurants, but my mom has become disabled and can no longer care for me. I would love a busy household with a fenced-in yard and a few toys or chew treats. I'd be thrilled if you have another dog and/or kids for me to play with. I love to run and play and even love swimming. I am affectionate with my family. I'm smart, am open to new experiences, and learn quickly. I sit, wait, heel and more; am housebroken; and walk past squirrels, iguanas, birds and the occasional cat without chasing.

Story
Mia is a beautiful, affectionate, and high-energy Husky who is about a year and a half old. She’s incredibly smart, loyal, and full of personality. Mia loves being around people, going on walks, and playing outdoors. Like most Huskies, she thrives with regular exercise and attention. We’re heartbroken to have to rehome her, but due to some major changes in our family — my wife is currently pregnant, preparing for back surgery, and dealing with some health challenges — we can no longer give Mia the time and care she truly deserves. Mia would do best in a home with an active individual or family who understands the needs of her breed and can provide her with the exercise, structure, and love she’s used to. She’s a wonderful dog and we’re hoping to find someone who will love her as much as we do. If you think you could be the right fit for Mia, please reach out. We’d love to find her a new home where she can thrive.
