Meet Ella!-2 year old spayed female Husky mix (Siberian Husky mix is just a guess!)-Weighs 49#-Lived in a home with a family previously, including children and another dog-House trained -Has befriended dogs at the Shelter including her current canine friend Bronco!-Not recommended to live in a home with catsA dedicated volunteer has been taking Ella on field trips to give her a break from the Shelter. The volunteer reports: “I had Ella overnight last night, and she was such a good girl! Great in the car, slept through the night, very sweet. She liked hanging out watching tv with my husband and I. She loves chasing and playing with her squeaky toy. After our walk This morning, she has enjoyed hanging out in the yard, mostly snoozing.”*Ella`s adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!*Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Meet Nova!-2 year old spayed female Husky mix (Siberian Husky mix is just a guess!)-Weighs 62#-Lived in a home with a family previously, including children and another dog-House trained -Has befriended dogs at the Shelter including Wyatt!-Not recommended to live in a home with catsA dedicated volunteer has been taking Nova on field trips to give her a break from the Shelter. The volunteer reports: “Nova and I spent a couple of days together and had a great time. She loved our neighborhood walks and going to the beach! She met several dogs and was friendly with them all. It was nice to see her sweet and playful personality emerge as she started to relax away from the shelter. She slept quietly through the night and overall was a great houseguest! Also great in the car!”*Nova`s adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!*Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Meet Winter!-2 year old spayed female Husky mix (Husky mix is simply a guess!)-Weighs 50lbs-Lived in a home with men and women previously & has been friendly living with strangers-Enjoys being active with her human friends – going for hikes are on the top of her to-dos! -Has made some dog friends at the Shelter including Rocky!-House trained in previous home-Knows “sit”, “shake” and is still perfecting “roll over”-Not recommended for a home with cats-History of being friendly with children she lived with (ages 2 and 5 years old)Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week!
