Story
Introducing Jack Frost, the spirited Husky mix bursting with energy and affection! At 2.5 years old, Frost is a bundle of joy who thrives on love and attention. He's a social butterfly, getting along with other large dogs. However, Frost would benefit from ongoing training to unleash his full potential and make him the confident and secure pup he deserves! Jack Frost is an outdoor enthusiast who adores car rides and would make an ideal running or hiking companion. Regular walks or runs are his idea of heaven! He's a powerhouse when it comes to playtime, he needs a home with ample space to run and play freely. Highly intelligent and quick to learn, Jack Frost relishes mentally stimulating activities and treats. Since he's a strong boy, he requires supervision around children and prefers a harness for walks. Jack Frost's playful nature sometimes leads to overexcitement and "playful jumps," requiring firm guidance from an alpha human to channel his competitive spirit positively. Although he's great with larger dogs and older children, Frost may need some patience and training around smaller animals. If you're seeking an energetic and loyal companion who's ready for adventure, Jack Frost could be your perfect match! ***Please reach out to Paula at spwheels1@gmail.com if you'd like to meet this special boy Jack Frost!

Story
Meet Skylar! Skylar is a beautiful German Shepherd-Cattle Dog mix, estimated to be around 3 to 4 years old. This sweet girl has come a long way since she was rescued from the shelter, where she faced the risk of being euthanized. When found, Skylar was scared, underweight, and abandoned on the streets, but she’s shown incredible resilience and love as she’s adjusted in her foster home. Skylar is now crate trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She loves rolling in the grass, playing with other dogs, and zipping around the backyard. She's a bright pup who enjoys training sessions, especially when treats are involved! Skylar is loyal and smart and behaves like a champ, even using the doggy door all on her own. At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate, though sometimes she gets to snuggle in the bed when foster dad is out of town. Skylar loves chewing on her toys and spending time with her humans. She’s ready to find her forever family where she can be safe, happy, and loved for the rest of her life. Could that be with you? 🐾 Please email mullenauxclaire@gmail.com for an application. Skylar is a courtesy post through Valley Dogs Rescue.

Story
Meet Ravi! Ravi is an 9 year old German Shepherd blend. He is a big, lean boy and weighs around 75 pounds. Ravi has a very gentle and sweet personality. He loves hanging out on the couch, and prefers to sleep on a dog bed next to his human's bed. Ravi is house trained and dog door trained. He loves walks and he does get excited when he meets other dogs. He loves attention from humans and likes to know where everyone in the house is hanging out. Ravi has previously lived with another dog and a cat (as long as the cat doesn't run!). However, he doesn't like to share his food so he'll do best as your only canine companion (but he can always meet new dog friends as long as there's no food or treats involved!). He is an excellent passenger in the car and seems to really enjoy car rides. Ravi loves toys and balls and has chosen a big stuffed fish as his favorite and carries it around everywhere. He listens and follows directions well. He knows sit, stay, come, wait, and will give you his paw for shake. Ravi is gentle taking treats. Ravi is a "safety first" kind of boy so he has learned to get in and out of the pool! Ravi is neutered, licensed, current on vaccinations and microchipped. He is currently being spoiled by one of our amazing foster homes, and you may email Debbie@AzFriends.org to schedule an appointment to meet him.No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
