Story
Maxine is a 4 1/2 year old sheepadoodle. We got her in May of 2020 from her original breeder. She needed to be placed quickly as her breeder was having health issues. She is a very smart, willing to please dog who needs to be in a home with no other dogs, and with someone who can give her the attention she needs to become an excellent companion. It is a very difficult decision to rehome Maxine, but I am doing this for several reasons. First I am traveling a lot and just do not have the time to work with her as I should. Secondly, she and our other dog are increasingly fighting. While our two dogs have never bonded with each other, resource guarding has become worse and worse with Maxine. As I mentioned I am not able to spend the time I should with her to work on this issue. Maxine is a beautiful doodle with so much potential. We are really hoping to find her a forever home in which she can be loved and attended to as she deserves.

Story
Meet George! George is 3-4 years old and came to rescue because he needed to move out of his previous home. Because he is a herding dog, he just couldn't understand why the young kids were not listening to his dog cues and what to do. It made him anxious and nervous. That being said, he should not live in a home with younger children. High school aged or older is fine. So here is what is great about George: everything else. He loves to be loved! He has been extensively trained professionally. He does not leave the yard (his foster lives on a county road) and they have full confidence that he will recall when called and not go too far. His foster mom talks to him in a normal tone and he does everything she asks. He walks great on a leash and does not need to be crated as he will not destroy anything in the house. He is good with cats and loves dogs. He will try and herd dogs, mostly by just following them around. George's forever family should make sure they are familiar with sheep dog grooming needs. He will need professional grooming.  Side note, George loves to swim! He will jump off the back of smaller boats and jump into swimming pools - it is so darn cute! Oh, and no accidents in the house! Not even one! He is just the sweetest boy looking for his forever family!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Celeste is a Standard Poodle born approximately November, 202.  She came into our home a bit shy and uncertain but each day has relaxed more and revealed more of her sweet and friendly personality! She is clearly housetrained and has had no accidents. Celeste has shown signs of being familiar and comfortable with being in a kennel as she will go in there on her own. Overnight and during the brief moments left alone she has not needed to be placed in a kennel as there are no behavioral issues or concerns. She does well with older kids and is tolerable of younger children, but clearly is not the biggest fan of the little ones. She has not yet met a cat but does have chase instincts towards squirrels. She likely would have the same reaction towards cats as squirrels. Celeste has been tolerant towards other dogs, so far mostly ignores them. She is not great at going on walks and is a heavy puller on the leash and requires a gentle leader. Celeste does pretty well in the car and mostly lays down. Her energy level is moderate. She clearly loves walks and play but also thoroughly enjoys napping while snuggling her people. She is left alone very minimally, 2-3 hours at most a day alone. We are not yet sure how she does alone but hopeful she will self soothe and lay down. She is so precious and has alot of love to give. One of her quirks is she gently jumps up on certain people placing her paws on the chest and remains there. It seems to be her way of giving hugs! I have been given very little to no information on her history but is clear she has had a loving family in the past, and she has not lost faith in people!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
