Story
Huckleberry is being re-homed due to no fault of his own. Our other dog was accidentally hit with a boat trailer and had to have surgery which is requiring a lengthy recovery. I feel it is best for him to be re-homed with a family who can give him the attention that he needs while also having a companion to run and play with. He is high energy and loves to play/run and interact with other dogs and his people. He is friendly with kids and other dogs of all sizes ranging from Yorke to fellow doodle. We have a cat and he has no issues. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and no food aggression or special needs. He is house trained and does well being inside when we go to work. He loves to be pet and right next to his people. He sometimes forgets he is 60lbs, not 6lbs. Huckleberry does great in the car and would make a great adventure companion as he stays close even off leash on runs and is easily called back. We just want him to go to a loving family who can help him live his best life.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Steven - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hiya, world! My name is Steven. I had a pretty ruff start to my life, but am ready for a person of my own. I was seized with over 80 other doodle dogs from a cruelty seizure/hoarding house on the boarder of Mexico and TX. All of the dogs taken from the house had never even seen grass before! While I am still working on trusting humans, I love my doggy friends! I definitely get confidence from having other human centric animals around me. Only open to one fur family friend in your life? No problem! I am very food motivated and will learn to trust you in no time with some tasty chicken snacks! I will need a very patient adopter that will give me time to decompress. I promise I am worth it though! I have come so far in such a short amount of time, I am improving daily with my socialization and interactions with hoomans. Story
Maxine is a 4 1/2 year old sheepadoodle. We got her in May of 2020 from her original breeder. She needed to be placed quickly as her breeder was having health issues. She is a very smart, willing to please dog who needs to be in a home with no other dogs, and with someone who can give her the attention she needs to become an excellent companion. It is a very difficult decision to rehome Maxine, but I am doing this for several reasons. First I am traveling a lot and just do not have the time to work with her as I should. Secondly, she and our other dog are increasingly fighting. While our two dogs have never bonded with each other, resource guarding has become worse and worse with Maxine. As I mentioned I am not able to spend the time I should with her to work on this issue. Maxine is a beautiful doodle with so much potential. We are really hoping to find her a forever home in which she can be loved and attended to as she deserves.
