Story
Meet Hershey! Age: Senior Weight: 46lbs Breed: Shar Pei mix Good with: dogs and kids (not cat tested) House trained: Yes, also wears a belly band when left alone for prolonged period of time Crate trained: Yes Special needs: Regular ear cleanings to avoid infections Let’s be honest: every woman loves a good chocolate, and Hershey is the sweetest of them all! This good boy is the most delicious mix: low key couch potato at nap time meets social butterfly when it comes to meeting new people and animals! He is currently staying in an amazing home with lots of dogs, goats, and chickens, and he has zero prey drive, so we believe he would be fine with cats, but he has not been specifically tested. Hershey loves his human foster sisters, and could thrive in a home with kids to play with him, pet him, and share treats. He is a well- mannered gentleman, and is wonderful with other dogs, but prefers slower intros with big dogs. He will tell bigger dogs if they are too familiar too quickly, but is not mean about it. If you are looking for a co-pilot, this precious boy is your man! He is the very best on car rides and enjoys time at dog friendly places. He is a treat on leash! The only real drawback to Hershey is that dog beds have exploded a couple times around him. He has reported that he has no idea how or why this happens, but he is so glad you’ve come home to protect him from it happening again! He does believe that the fluffy white stuffing is a beautiful holiday decor touch. Hershey is fostered in the Cottage Grove, WI area Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
My name is Vinnie and I’m 70 pounds of pure love. I love snuggling my foster parents and mom says I’m a bed hog, whatever that is! My favorite activity is going for car rides; I'm an excellent co-pilot and give great directions to the treat store. Since I'm only 4 yrs old, I would love someone who would commit to continuing with my training. I'm an A+ student but since I get very excited around other dogs, I would prefer to be the only dog in the house and have all the lovin's for myself. I know sit, ask to go out for potties, and am working on my leash manners, but I am still fresh out of the shelter, so this is all new to me. My foster mom says it's probably best if I don't live with kiddos under the age of 12 or kitties because I don't know my own size. I dont get it, 70lbs is a perfect size lap dog! Most importantly, I need a forever family to hold my big, squishy face and get lots of kisses. I sure hope I can find you guys soon. XOXO Vinnie

Story
Do you want a house pig but your pesky city says no barnyard animals? Alfie says boooo, but also, he is an excellent alternative. This big fella will happily bask in the sun, root around for favorite treats and snore like the best fake house pig around! All the neighbors will be jealous! Neener neener neighbors. Alfie is an 12 month old, 95 pound neutered boxer/pitbull mix. He's potty trained, crate trained and just a nice boy. He's built like a wrecking ball, so sturdy kids for this guy, really just sturdy humans for him, you read he's a big dog, right? Alfie's not going to be a marathon runner, but he'll happily marathon hike. He's just going to need a minute to rest, find the guy a good patch of shade! Alfie is living with dogs, kids and cats. He will chase the cats if they run, so if your cats aren't down for that kind of attention, maybe he's not the dog for your cat. Alfie will do best with a family who loves education and structure. He's a lovely dog who learns so quickly, harness that genius and the sky is the limit. Previous giant bully experience preferred. Apply today to meet the new star of your household. We should be clear, he's not actually a house pig, he's just good at pretending. Alfie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and move in ready.
