Story
Meet Hershey! Age: Senior Weight: 46lbs Breed: Shar Pei mix Good with: dogs and kids (not cat tested) House trained: Yes, also wears a belly band when left alone for prolonged period of time Crate trained: Yes Special needs: Regular ear cleanings to avoid infections Let’s be honest: every woman loves a good chocolate, and Hershey is the sweetest of them all! This good boy is the most delicious mix: low key couch potato at nap time meets social butterfly when it comes to meeting new people and animals! He is currently staying in an amazing home with lots of dogs, goats, and chickens, and he has zero prey drive, so we believe he would be fine with cats, but he has not been specifically tested. Hershey loves his human foster sisters, and could thrive in a home with kids to play with him, pet him, and share treats. He is a well- mannered gentleman, and is wonderful with other dogs, but prefers slower intros with big dogs. He will tell bigger dogs if they are too familiar too quickly, but is not mean about it. If you are looking for a co-pilot, this precious boy is your man! He is the very best on car rides and enjoys time at dog friendly places. He is a treat on leash! The only real drawback to Hershey is that dog beds have exploded a couple times around him. He has reported that he has no idea how or why this happens, but he is so glad you’ve come home to protect him from it happening again! He does believe that the fluffy white stuffing is a beautiful holiday decor touch. Hershey is fostered in the Cottage Grove, WI area Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Of Agriculture License Number: 474085-DS NOTE ABOUT AGING A DOG: Aging a dog, based on looking at them, is unreliable and usually inaccurate. Story
Adoptable 💙Peaches💙 is looking for her forever home! 🥰 Peaches was found as a stray in Georgia and soon found herself at the local animal shelter. She just made the trip up to Wisconsin on 10/26 and is doing really well in her foster home! 🐾 She is a silly, playful pup who loves other dogs and her people. She gets along with all the dogs she has met and does a good job matching energy to older dogs or younger puppies. She enjoys running around the yard, playing with toys, and going for walks with her foster family. She did great trick-or-treating with her foster family and was amazing with all the kids and commotion. She also gets along with cats. She is crate trained, working on potty training, good on the leash, and working on off-leash recall. She is not reactive over toys, treats, food, etc. She is an overall good girly who would be great for someone looking for a medium energy dog! She is also quite petite for a terrier mix and is only around 30 lbs at 7 months old. If you are interested in adopting, please check out our website and fill out an application: www.muttlife.org

Story
3 month female Hi, I’m Raven! I’m a sweet little puppy with a beautiful brindle coat and lots of love to give. I was found as a stray, so I don’t really know much about my past, but I’m excited to start a new chapter with a family of my own. Even though I’m still a puppy, I’m already learning so much every day. I love to play, explore, and cuddle—basically, I’m up for anything that involves fun and attention! I’m still figuring out the world around me, but I’m a quick learner and eager to please. If you’re looking for a playful, loving puppy to add to your family, I might be the perfect match! With a little patience and plenty of belly rubs, I’ll grow up to be the best companion ever. Let’s make some memories together—are you ready to take me home? -------------------- She is currently in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and urgently needs our help! She needs an ADOPTER or a temporary FOSTER home so she can catch a ride with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 to Cedarburg, Wisconsin. If nobody steps up for her, she will be left behind in the shelter, and we don't want her to miss this important chance for a better life. Let's come together to give her the future she deserves! —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement.
