I’m Lorna. I came in to the shelter as a stray. I had a bandana and a light on my collar but no name tag, sadly. No one ever came in to reclaim me. The shelter named me and I have been responding to it. I was adopted but returned due to not getting along with the adopters cats. I will now be placed in a home with no cats. I have been given some more time to come out of my shell here, and get some training. I have been in multiple play groups here with other dogs and I have done great. Lots of playing and friendly behaviors. The shelter staff has had me interact the same with about every dog I meet and really I just match the same energy the other dog gives off. What the shelter has learned about me is that I am an absolute toy hog. I want all the toys. I love toys. They’re my favorite thing in life. I’m more of a laid back mind my own business type of gal. I want nothing more than to just lay on a dog bed and chew a nyla bone or run around with a rope. I easily entertain myself. I am potty trained and doing great. I’m a real life girl version of Scooby doo. I’m hoping someone’s falls in love with my adorable face and takes me home with them.All dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped before going home. They are current on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.Anyone can come and do a walk through of our adoption areas Monday thru Friday 12pm-430pm. We do not place holds on shelter pets, so becoming pre-approved will help prevent you from missing out on the pet you`d like to adopt. The shelter has to have an approved application in order to schedule a meet n greet, and get dogs out of the kennels! Please be patient with us as it can take 24-48 hours to process an application. We will email you, or call you with an approval or denial. Please be diligent when checking your email. Approved applications are kept on file for one year.

Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently on medications for anxiety support More about Miss Honey: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: Doing well overall. She sleeps well in her crate overnight, but can take some time to settle when her people leave home without her. Leash walking: Doing great! Dog social: Yes! Miss Honey has participated in dog playgroups at our Adoption Center and did well. She lives with other dogs in her foster home and likes to play, but may guard resources (food, toys, chews) so should have management in place around high value items. Cat social: She has done well with a dog-savvy cat after a slow intro Kid friendly: She has been friendly towards children but is a better match for older kids (12+) as she can become easily excitable Miss Honey likes: - Watching TV with you - Enjoying the sunshine - Cuddling up in some cozy blankets Miss Honey is the absolute best girl! She loves hard, and she will follow you all over the house, just wanting to be close to her people at all times. She plays hard, too! She loves to chase her doggie foster siblings around the yard or play tug with her people... but only for like 20 minutes and then it's time for a nap. She snuggles hard, and loves to park herself on the couch and get as much of her body on your body as she can. She's friendly with every person she meets and within moments of greeting you she'll show you her belly for rubs and will give you the sweetest, most gentle kisses if you'll let her. She would appreciate an adopter who can help her channel her energy in positive ways when she becomes overstimulated, to avoid mouthing and jumping behaviors. Miss Honey's adoption fee is $300, and she is excited to find the perfect person to cuddle with on the sofa! Miss Chow Mien came to us from a kill shelter in Indiana. She was an unclaimed stray. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 04/04/22 and she currently weighs 35#. We are betting she could be a great jogging partner! She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm negative.Her adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card.
