Miss Chow Mien came to us from a kill shelter in Indiana. She was an unclaimed stray. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 04/04/22 and she currently weighs 35#. We are betting she could be a great jogging partner! She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm negative.Her adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. Hi! Nate is a shar pei bulldog mix. He was a rescue. I've had him since he was 6 months old. He is now almost 10. Nate does ok around other dogs when we are outside, but he has never lived with another pet. He is very protective of me and my new grandson. I overly protective of my grandson! It takes him a while to warm up to people so I mostly put him in another room when I have visitors. He is food aggressive and doesn't like to be handled. (Doesn't like the vet, grooming, etc.) He had some rashes, bad sight, and ear issues that I can't afford to address and it makes it difficult because he doesn't like to be handled. I love him with my whole heart but I know that where I am on life right now someone else can give him a better home than I can. I would suggest a home with no kids where he could get all the attention. He likes being outdoors to play. He sleeps on a dog bed now but enjoys being on furniture if he is allowed!

Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized Miss Honey is receiving medicated baths and antibiotics to help treat her skin irritation, and medication for her ear infection. Her adopter should follow up with their primary vet. More about Miss Honey: Housebroken: Working on it and making progress, but may still have accidents. She will benefit from continuing to work on this with positive reinforcement training and a consistent routine! Crate trained: Yes! She has done well for up to 8 hours in her crate when home alone, and sleeps well in her crate overnight. Leash walking: Doing well overall. She does not pull but she can be intimidated by city noises, and can sometimes bark when she sees other dogs on walks. Dog social: Yes! Miss Honey has participated in dog playgroups at our Adoption Center and did well. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown Miss Honey likes: - Watching TV with you - Enjoying the sunshine - Cuddling up in some cozy blankets Miss Honey is so happy to finally be an indoor dog, enjoying all the comforts of home! Honey is super loving and sweet, and has been making great progress in adjusting to all the newness that living in a home entails. She would love a patient and loving adopter to curl up with and watch Netflix with, and show her how great life as a BFF can be! Miss Honey's adoption fee is $300, and she is excited to find the perfect person to cuddle with on the sofa! Calling all Boxer dog fans! One of our amazing volunteers was curious about Nala's breeds, so she ordered a DNA test...we now know that Nala is: 53.4% Boxer + 27.2% American Bully + 19.4% American Pit Bull Terrier! Talk about three amazing breeds combined to make one 100% good girl! And, oh yeah! Her adoption fee is sponsored to an approved applicant! She is always so wiggly. You would've never guessed she came to us starving and scared. Let's not forget that she has the BEST smile and she is always cheesing so hard that she squints! She is so very sweet and is always so excited to come out and play! We like to describe Nala as an independent gal but also very loyal to people. She would do fine as the only dog but also has done well with other playful pups. Nala has done well with kiddos about 8ish and up. She loves car rides and is always looking out the window. She's such a sweetheart. Nala's ideal family would be one where she can join them for daily walks. She would also love to play fetch with tennis balls because that makes her so happy! She is the best fetcher ever! She also loves sniffing through snufflemats. Nala is a treat-motivated gal! Oh, and another amazing thing about her is that she takes treats so gently. She is about six and a half years old and is spayed.
