Would you let me into your heart and keep me warm and cozy for the paw-lidays?Exceptional Owner Required:This dog had a large mammary tumor which was removed at the time of her spay surgery. The mass was sent to the laboratory for analysis and found to be a low-grade mammary carcinoma. We know that the incidence of malignant mammary tumors increases as un-spayed female dogs age. The biopsy findings show that the tumor was not fast growing and did not extend into the lymph nodes, chest x-rays also showed no evidence of tumor spread, additionally, the margins of the mass removal were clear of cancer cells. The biopsy report indicates that this type of tumor has a 3.4% incidence of recurrence and/or metastases and 0% incidence of cancer death, with a mean overall survival time of less than 3 years. Her prognosis is good to excellent for a normal healthy life.

Meet Sky! Sky is a Shar Pei mix and is a perfect size. He is 34lbs and one of our senior dogs. We are estimating him to be around 8 years old but his is still a playful guy. He likes to run and chase balls and feel alive! Ellie, Mozzorellie, or NFL linebacker are just a few of her names came to us after quite the heist of sneaking out of another shelter and going on an adventure for months. Ellie arrived unsure, overstimulated, planning the next big escape, and not sold that people are actually nice. Over the past year at SOAR, she’s shown incredible progress in all ways. Ellie has never one time had an accident in her room, appears dog friendly, loves all people big and small, but we’re unsure on cats. Ellie is all about speed and playing chicken, she’ll run full steam ahead and ditch at the last second leaving you with soiled undies and a muscle cramp from bracing for impact. You WON’T find better forehead wrinkles, not even at a nursing home. The perfect home for Ellie would be active, older or no children, only dog or bigger dog friends, and if adopting to a house will minimally need a 6ft fully-fenced back yard.
