Story
Hi there! My name is Star, and I’m a 10-month-old Sharpei mix with a stunning grey coat that gleams like a moonlit night. At 35 pounds, I’m the perfect size for all kinds of adventures. I was found lost and brought to the shelter on 12/03/2024, along with my sweet sister, Noelle. Noelle has now been adopted. I’m full of energy, joy, and love—perfect for someone who enjoys running, hiking, or has a big backyard where I can stretch my legs and play. Don’t let my active side fool you, though—I’m also as sweet as can be, and I’ll melt your heart with my wagging tail and affectionate nature. I’m spayed and up to date on all my shots; I will be tested for heartworms and microcipped upon adoption. If you’re ready for an active, playful, and lovable companion, come meet me at cage #25. My ID is 6618. Let’s turn the next chapter of our lives into a beautiful adventure together! Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Malto is a 10 month old Chinese Shar-Pei mix with a big ol’ head! He has a hint of sass in his personality though, and doesn’t like being told he looks scary (for real, a person who rudely said he looked like he’d bite their hand off did ironically get barked at in response). He likes other dogs and people, is curious about cats but likes to play pounce, and was extremely weirded out by a goat he saw at Tractor Supply…he barked up a storm and was confused when it didn’t bark back (in his defense a goat would be a strange looking dog). Malto loved sniffing around Underground Books and was very well behaved for his bath at Tractor Supply. He’s very smart and listens well, and would be extremely receptive to training! If you’re looking for a chill little guy with a chill little face, swing by the shelter and meet Malto!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.December 31, 2024, 1:15 am

Story
Home for the Holidays - Reduced Adoption Fees if Adopted by January 10th!     Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home.  I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, and I will even hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm an 11-year-old Sharpei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children, so my foster mom thinks I should stick to adults and teens because I may not do well with the energy of a younger child. Anyway, that's my story. I'd love to meet and get to know you.     Apply to adopt me at www. angelsrescue.org/adopt and search for me, Cylana! Make a donation in this dog's name at http://www.angelsrescue.org/donate.
