This beautiful lady is Bunny! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 10/29, and no one has come to reclaim her. We think she is Shar-Pei mixed with maybe a rabbit, hence the name Bunny! Check out those ears...aren't they great?! Bunny is extremely sweet and friendly. She knows several commands including sit, lay down, and stay. Bunny is approximately 2 years old, and she weighs 79 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Bunny is waiting patiently in run 79; her ID # is 5886. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Hail Caesar!! The king of chill has joined the party. Caesar is a calm and lovable guy who mostly just likes to explore the play yard, meet people, and follow his nose wherever it goes. If you really encourage him, you can get him to run around a bit. He is completely uninterested in toys and will look at you like you’re dumb if you throw one. He ignored the cat, and does like to play with other dogs but only for a little while. Before too long he’ll wander off. Mostly, Caesar just likes getting love from people, hanging out, and smelling cool smells. I think he is a shar pei/pit mix (shar pit?) and he’s estimated at around two years old. He came to us after he was abandoned by his previous owner, and he does have some training. Caesar understands “sit” and “paw”, and though we can’t guarantee no mistakes he does seem to be housebroken. Unfortunately, Caesar is heartworm positive and you would need to discuss fast-kill or slow-kill treatment options with your veterinarian. At his young age, his treatment prognosis should be good - and this isn’t too high a price to pay for a lifetime of love ?? If you think our Caesar might be the emperor of your heart, please down and meet him!

Meet Rubble Do you love wrinkly foreheads?? Well we have the boy for you!! This sweet young guy was picked up stray by a county shelter, and after 2 months of somehow not being adopted he was marked as "Urgent", and would have been euthanized for space if not rescued. One of our amazing fosters raced over to the shelter to meet him, kid tested him with her own children, and gave him two thumbs up as being an all around wonderful pup! He is in a home with kids aged 1-10, and lots of other dogs, and he is doing great! He is a snuggler, and bonus, he seems to be housetrained, too!
