Story
This beautiful lady is Bunny! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 10/29, and no one has come to reclaim her. We think she is Shar-Pei mixed with maybe a rabbit, hence the name Bunny! Check out those ears...aren't they great?! Bunny is extremely sweet and friendly. She knows several commands including sit, lay down, and stay. Bunny is approximately 2 years old, and she weighs 79 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, and she will be spayed, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Bunny is waiting patiently in run 79; her ID # is 5886. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. Story
Hi there! My name is Star, and I’m a 10-month-old Sharpei mix with a stunning grey coat that gleams like a moonlit night. At 35 pounds, I’m the perfect size for all kinds of adventures. I was found lost and brought to the shelter on 12/03/2024, along with my sweet sister, Noelle. While adopting us both isn’t required, we’d love to stay together if you have room in your heart and home for double the love! I’m full of energy, joy, and love—perfect for someone who enjoys running, hiking, or has a big backyard where I can stretch my legs and play. Don’t let my active side fool you, though—I’m also as sweet as can be, and I’ll melt your heart with my wagging tail and affectionate nature. I’m spayed and up to date on all my shots; I will be tested for heartworms and microcipped upon adoption. If you’re ready for an active, playful, and lovable companion (or two!), come meet me at cage #25. My ID is 6618. Let’s turn the next chapter of our lives into a beautiful adventure together! Story
Hi there! My name is Noelle, and I’m a 10-month-old Sharpei mix with a sleek grey coat that makes me look as elegant as a winter morning. I may be small at just 23 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you—I’ve got a big personality and plenty of love to give! I was found lost and brought to the shelter on 12/03/2024 with my sister Star, who’s my best friend in the whole world. While you’re welcome to adopt us separately, we’d be over the moon to stay together if you have room for two sweet girls. I’m full of energy and would love a home where I can run, play, and let my joyful spirit shine. Whether it’s joining you on runs or zooming around a backyard, I’ll make every day a little brighter. I’m also incredibly sweet, and my big heart is just waiting to meet someone like you. I'm spayed and up to date on all my shots; I will be tested for heartworms and microchipped upon adoption. If you’re looking for an adorable, loving, and energetic companion (or two!), come meet me at cage #25. My ID is 6617. Let’s make this holiday season unforgettable by starting our new lives together! Story
A FUN, PLAYFUL & ACTIVE GUY:  Approx.  2 years old / Approx. 34 lbs.  Hi, my name is Asher!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I’m very grateful.  The volunteers are taken with my unusual breed mix and my handsome ginger brindle coat, and compact body.  I bet you will be too! I spent some time in the prison/foster training program offsite and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, though I can be barky when I see other dogs – not to worry – my trainer will show you how to introduce me to other dogs, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so if you have older dog-smart kids, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet guy who has earned the reputation of being ‘goofy and funny’ around the shelter.  I’m happy with a fun nature, and sure to be a great addition to your family.  I am full of playful energy and am not shy about speaking my mind, so I don’t think an apartment/condo type home would be a good fit for me. I’m a lot of dog in a little package. I’m also very sweet and fun! I was a very good boy, calm and sweet for my shelter bath.  Affectionate and social, I have all the traits of a great companion. I, however, am not the kind of dog you would take to the kids’ sporting events, or a busy park, etc. since I can be reactive. / My energy level is 8-9, so I am looking for a family member who will be active with me.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer.  So far, I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, ‘place’, and ‘drop it’ commands, as well as accept friendly strangers without jumping and utilize proper door etiquette.  I’m currently working on my leash manners using my gentle leader.  I get distracted by sounds I hear on my walk that I don’t recognize, so my trainer is using the ‘leave it’ command to keep me on track on our walks.  I’m very food motivated, so that makes my training fun and yummy! / I’m doing well in my little room at Mostly Mutts. / I’ve had only a couple of accidents on the shelter schedule, so I think I’ll do well in my new home once I know our schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I LOVE toys and enjoy having fun with them when the volunteers break them out at the shelter.  I’d enjoy a nice, fenced yard where we can have lots of play sessions together.  When it’s time to chill, I always enjoy a good petting.  I also enjoy my walks, but I need a strong walker, as I am a strong boy and can be reactive to people and other animals on walks.  / I have been frightened by certain loud motors, the vacuum etc. so I don’t like those. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a dog savvy family where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 11, 2024, 6:52 am

Story
A SWEET & ACTIVE FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 38 lbs.    Hi, I’m Kaylyn!  I was rescued from animal control, and I sure am happy about that!  I’ve been enjoying my time with the nice volunteers and now I hear that I’m ready to find my new family to love and be loved by – yippie!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, and I wanted to play with them too, so if you have a dog at home already who would like a playful friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as fun, playful, friendly, sweet, and active – ready to enjoy the good life with my family! I can see us going for walks, playing and discovering lots of things to do together. I was a good girl for my shelter bath and brush out too. / My energy level is 6 - 8 so I’d like to be active with my family.   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I think that the stress of being at the shelter got to me, as a dog barked at me while I was on a walk and startled me, so I redirected and snapped at my walker leaving a mark on them.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’m having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please keep me on a good consistent take-out schedule so I can master my potty manners.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to zoom around in the MM play yard with the volunteers, so I’m sure I’d enjoy a fenced yard in my new home where we can play together.  I also love playing with toys and spending time with people. / I can’t think of any dislikes but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re looking for a wonderful friend to be active and have fun with, we could be great together!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 6, 2024, 9:44 am

Story
A SUPER SWEET PUPPY:  Approx. 6 – 7 months old / Approx. 25 lbs. & growing Hello – I’m Sophia!  I came to Mostly Mutts with my brother, and – as two young pups, we were super happy to become part of the Mostly Mutts family!  We are getting lots of attention and great care from the awesome shelter volunteers and now we’re both ready to find families of our very own!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program offsite and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I came in with a sibling and I liked the other friendly dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I am an active and growing puppy!   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a ‘total love bug’.  I truly see myself as a lap dog and have the BEST cuddle skills.  I’m super sweet and gentle with a typical friendly puppy playfulness you are sure to love.  I’m growing braver by the day with the bath sprayer and am a calm girl for the shampoo portion, which feels a lot like belly rubs and butt scratches. Lol. / My energy level is currently 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where so far, I have learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, and ‘down’ commands.  I look forward to learning lots more great commands with my trainer.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having quite a few accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  As mentioned, I’m a fan of butt scratches and belly rubs!  I will ask for them by charming you with the best big, brown puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen.  I’m not yet interested in toys, but I bet you can show me how much fun they can be. / The cars on the road scare me.  I’m still working on my leash skills, as it is new to me, so I do better in the intake back yard.  Otherwise, I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed.  I came in with some healing boo-boos/crusting skin and thin fur but it’s healing now.  I still need medicated baths for a little longer and these can be done in my new home. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.      December 4, 2024, 7:39 am
