*Name: Bruno *Age: 6.5 years old *Current Weight: 45 pounds *Rescued from: South Carolina *Adoption fee: $ 375 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, & microchipped, neutered *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, No cats Meet Bruno! Bruno is such a good boy and just looking for someone to love. When his prior family lost their housing they had to give up poor Bruno and the shelter begged us to take him, as he is such a wonderful boy and boy were they right. Bruno is Crate and house trained and knows commands (come, sit, stay, paw). Bruno is a big love, who is quiet and reserved. Bruno is absolutely wonderful on leash, he loves his morning strolls with our volunteer. He would make an excellent companion for anyone who take long walks and needs a buddy. Bruno has a very chill relaxed personality and would flourish in a home that would have the same type of energy. Brunos ideal home would be one without small children since fast movements make him nervious. Bruno prefers to hang out with female dogs over males since he likes to show off in front of the ladies. Bruno loves to investigate the yards here at our adoption center and when he is done just plop down in the grass and just relax. Our staff and volunteers love Brunos wonderful demenor and chill personality. This beautiful boy is just looking for the right place to call home.  FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1185108##

*Name: Lucy *Age: 7 years old *Current Weight: 57 pounds *Adoption fee: $400 Meet Lucy! From laying out in the sun to cuddling on the couch, I am as easy as can be to please! KIDS ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FREINDS! Playing dress up is my specialty! I am wokring hard on my manners and commands. I will do just about anything for a treat! I love to go for walks and my pace is right by your side! I don't mind relaxing by myself and won't even chew your favorite shoes! Lucy was rescued from the cruel streets of Houston and she surprised her foster family with a growing belly! She had 7 healthy and chunky babies (who are all adopted now) and took great care of them. All her puppies found furever homes and now it's Lucy's turn.   Lucy is estimated to be around 4 years old, spayed and successfully completed fast kill heartworm treatment and now gets her advantage multi every month to keep away those pesky squitos!  She’s a mello gal that loves nothing more then to hang out with her person.  She enjoys chillin' and cuddling on the sofa, binge watching another Netflix series sounds like an awesome idea to our darling Lucy. She adores humans (especially kids) and gets along with other mellow dogs.Lucy needs a home with no cats or small dogs. Lucy would love a home with a mello canine buddy her size or she would be just as happy to be the only pup soaking up all the attention her humans will give. Lucy has been in foster care since April 2021 and is looking for her forever home. Please consider adopting this girl if you enjoy puppy hugs and kisses.  To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##1333380##

The sweetest 5 year old sharpei mix. He almost didn't make it out of the shelter... he was so very sick, depressed and had given up. I don't think anyone had ever told him what a good boy he is. We couldn't leave him him, he needed a chance. It was touch and go for the first few days, but with good meds and round the clock care, he came back. He wagged his tail, and opened his eyes, and his soul returned. A month later and he is happy, healthy and a goofy boy who loves everyone he meets. He is quiet and low key, loves his kennel and is good in the house. He would actually be a perfect apartment companion, all he wants is a home, and love. He deserves to be told he is a good boy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Odin, an approximately 9-10-year-old Black Lab-Shar Pei mix with a slender 55 lb build and a soft, medium-length black coat. Odin’s heartwarming loyalty and gentle spirit make him an exceptional companion, and he is now looking for a calm, loving home as his owner is moving out of state and sadly cannot bring him along. Odin was adopted from LCAR eight years ago, and during this time, he’s grown to be an incredibly well-trained and reliable friend. Fully housebroken, non-destructive, and crate-trained (though he doesn’t need it), Odin is trustworthy to roam freely at home. He’s happiest when he’s around his people, whether snoozing next to them in bed or resting in his own bed close by. He can get a bit anxious during car rides, but he settles down once he’s inside, and he’s typically easygoing. Odin is particularly endearing due to his deep attachment to his people. His loyalty is unmatched—he’ll even refuse to go for a walk with anyone if his owner is asleep in the house until given permission. This tender-hearted boy loves his routines and friends, even recognizing his owner’s friends by name. His favorite cuddle time is in the mornings, making for a perfect start to the day. Having had a challenging experience with a dog attack in the past, Odin can be a bit nervous around other dogs but tends to get along well with calm, older dogs. Although he hasn’t lived with cats, he doesn’t show much interest in them when encountered on walks. Odin is also sensitive to loud noises like fireworks and thunder and feels comforted when he’s held close during scary moments. His intelligence is remarkable—he knows an impressive range of words and tones and follows commands exceptionally well. He isn’t food-motivated but has specific treats he enjoys. Odin would thrive in a home with gentle, understanding people who can offer him a steady, comforting environment and lots of love. He is one of those rare dogs whose intelligence and loyalty leave an impression on everyone he meets, and he deserves a peaceful, caring forever home where he can continue to flourish.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 2:50 pm

Story
Coco Foster/Home Needed –Long Island, NY Meet Coco. This gorgeous girl is a Shar Pei mix, about 8yrs old and weighs roughly 50lbs. Coco likes people and everyone she meets falls in love with her. The staff at her current shelter adore her and say she is easy to manage. She is fine with other dogs in most situations, but she gets a little nervous if they invade her personal space. She is attracted to puppies and calm dogs, but is not a fan of felines. She is interested in kids but children over 13yrs would be best. Unlike many dogs, storms and fireworks do not bother Coco. She’s not necessarily a lap dog but she loves to be with her people. She likes car rides and naps, she loves to be brushed and she’s good in the bath. Coco loves water and is a good swimmer. She grows weary of the shelter life but absolutely shines outside of there. She’s very agile and smart. Coco is house trained, crate trained and good on a leash. She is spayed and UTD on all. If you have the heart, home and time for this sweet girl, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below.
