This pretty girl is Calliope. She is a two-year-old Shar-Pei mix and weighs 40 lb. Calliope is super sweet and loves everyone. She is what we call a "wiggle butt!" She really is a people's dog. She is a well-rounded dog and will make a great family pet. She will be good with children of all ages. Calliope is fine with other dogs and would enjoy another dog in the home to play with. We don't know what she thinks of cats but can cat-test her if needed. If you are looking for a really nice, medium-sized dog, Calliope may be the one for you! Calliope is microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. She will be spayed before adoption. Her adoption fee is $395. Ace was originally adopted out of ACS as a small puppy, but was found completely emaciated and dumped. We were able to pull him into our rescue and he is now on his way to gaining back his weight.Other than being neglected our vet has found nothing wrong with Ace. He is an amazing sweet boy, and despite what he went through with his previous owners he is still such a loving, gentle boy. His soulful bright eyes and sweet smile melts the heart of everyone who meets him.Ace is crate and house trained, good with other dogs, kids and even cats. He's the happiest sweetest boy with an amazing disposition. Ace loves to snuggle and be near his people. Ms. Ruby Red is an absolute charming girl that has had a hard start at life. She has a birth defect called enophthalmos, which basically means her eyes are too far set back into her skull, this caused her to also suffer from severe cherry eyes and entropion in both eyes making it very difficult for her to see and in constant pain. Along with these issue she had also been hit by a car as a young puppy, probably because she couldn't see! Thanks to a concerned citizen we were made aware of Ruby's situation and were able to give her the much-needed care that she needed. Now after months in foster care and multiple surgeries this awesome pup is ready for her forever home with only has a small scar on her left thigh, see perfectly fine and no longer in pain. **Crinkle, crinkle, CRINKLE*** ever tried to be quiet in a theater while opening your candy bag?? Well, that is my LIFE!!! I have wrinkles and creases and crinkles EVERYWHERE!!! But, hey! I am a Shar Pei, so what else do I do?? (i mean besides look so so cute?) Yes, can you believe a purebred Shar Pei tied to a post... only in South Texas :(, that was 3 years ago.... But, I am one of the lucky ones! I was even adopted 3 years ago!!! However, my luck ran out when my owner died and his kids couldn't keep me.... SO here I am again, pleading for the right family to adopt me!!! I want to find a home who loves me and won't mind a little **crinkle, crinkle** in the middle of the night. I am only about 5 yrs old and 40#. I can't wait to be the queen of your home. Must know about my breed, we are great great dogs but have our little idiosyncrasies. He is almost 60lbs, has a slender, muscular build and enjoys long walks, hiking adventures, plushy toys, and even enjoys his travel time in the car! He’s been doing great in his dog training classes and is a proud graduate of our Cooperative Care Specialty Class. Hank is neutered, microchipped, knows basic training foundations, is up to date on vaccinations and now just needs a home and family to call his own! This awesome 8-year-old pup will thrive in an adult home or one with older children (12+). Hank requests a cat free environment and isn’t one for energetic playtimes with other dogs, but he may enjoy the company of another calm, older canine companion. Have you ever heard on the TV, well a hoarder's house has been raided and ... animals have been seized and sent to the pound or rescue organizations in the area.... WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Aunts/Uncles/Parents/SIblings... all "living" together. We have Shar Pei, Scruffy dogs, Pit Bull, and maybe Spaniel mixed in there :D We are all pretty much medium sized, 20-50# and cute as HECK!!
