Story
Thomas is the cutest, little guy you will ever meet. He mighttttt not want to be your friend right off the bat, but after several days he is down to snuggle and be besties. He just needs some time warming up to new people and he isn't the kind who wants to meet all of your friends and family every time they come over. He loves other dogs after some slow intros. He is potty trained and crate trained. At only 3 and a half years old he has great energy, but also is good with chilling on the couch to snuggle. Thomas's pawfect home is one that does not have a lot of foot traffic and/or has a place for him to relax when company is over. He isn't one that wants to go on all the adventures with you, but is more of a homebody. Are you ready to bring home your bff? Thomas is ready for you! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/ . Story
Local adoption only!  Adoption donation $500 to cover medical expenses. Finley is 5 years old and ready for his new home.  His past life had issues with other dogs fighting with him.  As such, he can be a bit standoffish.  But that doesn't stop him from wanting love, attention and belly rubs!  Finley is allergic to chicken, which causes skin inflammation..  Even small amounts of chicken fat that are present in some dog treats, chewable medications or even pill pockets can be a trigger.  We have resolved these issues by feeding a high-quality beef or salmon diet and we use Grain Free Peanut Butter treats. All dogs adopted by Scottie Kingdom Rescue, Inc. have had a full medical exam by one of our licensed Veterinarians, which includes testing (and treatment, if necessary) for Heartworm disease, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis, all necessary vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, dental cleaning as necessary, microchipping, registration of the microchip, and any other medical needs each particular dog may need. Copies of all available medical records are transferred to you when the adoption is finalized. We prefer to adopt to families with past Scottie, Westie, Terrier experience, but realize this isn’t always possible.   We do NOT ship our pets. If you have that special place in your heart, and in your home, for a Scottie (or any of our other available rescue dogs), please visit us in Dallas for an in person meet & greet session with our available dogs.   If you have existing dogs, they should travel to Dallas with you, so we can be assured that they will be compatible with the new addition to your family. Please contact us at Rescue@scottiekingdom.com   to receive an Adoption Application or for more information on our Adoption process.  Also, please take the time to visit our website www.scottiekingdom.com for additional information. We sometimes receive several applications on the same dog. Our goal is to place the dog in the best home possible, based on his/her needs, personality and past history. Please note:  Adoptions are not done on a first come, first served basis.  Submitting an application does not guarantee the adoption of any dog.   We are looking for the best available home for each of our rescue dogs. Thank you for your understanding, and for considering adoption! We are not supported by your tax dollars or public grants, rather, we rely on donations to help us continue our rescue work for animals that are in need. Donations may be made via PayPal to email address: Donate@scottiekingdom.com or via USPS, to PO Box 551265 ~ Dallas, TX   75355 October 14, 2024, 9:40 am

Story
Local adoption only!  Adoption donation $750.00 to cover medical expenses. This handsome boy is Cailean, who is 2 years of age and is looking for a new home.  He is a very active Scottie boy due to his age.  We are wanting to find him a home in the DFW area that has experience with the breed.  Cailean is a larger Scott that is quite strong and muscular.  He could knock over a small child or cause issues with seniors.  He is decidedly an Alpha dog which needs to be taken into consideration if you have other Scotties.  He loves playing fetch in the yard, but it's a game to get the toy back from him! Cailean requires a high-quality diet to help prevent skin issues. Story
Col. Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue www.cairnrescue.comReady Reddick. Reddick came to Col. Potter with the name Chewie as in Chewbacca. Who can resist that cute face? One would never know this boy is 10. He is energetic, active and curious about the world. Reddick likes the work of training to get treats. Reddick is ready for his forever home. (His foster-mom is so proud of him.) He came into Col Potter after living on the streets. He has settled into the comfort of knowing his daily routine and trusting people. He plays with toys and interacts with his foster home resident dogs. When he came he did nothing but pace and fret. He is a ten year old boy who is looking for a home with a dog knowledgeable people as he can be reactive if one isn’t reading his behavior. He also has a sensitive GI tract therefore needs attention to his diet. The reward of having him looking into your eyes with affection and anticipation of good things is the best feeling.FOR LOTS MORE INFORMATION ON REDDICK ENTER OR COPY THIS LINK ONTO YOUR WEB BROWSER:https://www.cairnrescue.com/store/dogs/ Reddick is being fostered in Casa Grande, AZ in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!LEARN OUR 'ADOPTION FAQS': Any questions that you may have about our adoption process, fees, transporting a dog, and our policy not to adopt to families with small children, can be answered at our main website or going directly to this link: https://www.cairnrescue.com/service/faq/ IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THE FAQ'S BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION.
