Story
***LOCAL ADOPTER NEEDED! (Within 50 miles of Apex) - Mopsie still needs to be spayed at our vet on 4/10*** How do you doodley do?! My name is Mopsie and I’m ready to love you! I’m a fun, energetic ~1 year old doodle (presumed to be a labradoodle). I am up to date on shots, microchipped, and I have a spay appointment scheduled on 4/10 in Apex, NC I’ll need my adopter to take me to. I am approx 45 lbs and I am a skinny girl that could put on a few pounds! I was rescued from a "breeder” who had far too many dogs in their home. Being from the situation I was in, I’ll require some patience, love, and understanding to be the best girl I can be. I have so much love to give, but I’ll need the right person to show me the ropes on how to be the best girl I can be. I have gotten along with the resident dog in our household. I would love to play with him one day, but coming from my situation, I’ll need time to decompress and warm up. I prefer to not share my humans and tend to guard them when the resident dog comes by. I just need reassurance that I’ll be okay and someone to teach me that humans have so much love to give and share. I live in a foster home with 2 cats. I was interested in them at first, but they have shown they are the boss and now I avoid them! I am in a foster home with a 3 year old human and a tiny baby human. When I get close I like to give them a few kisses, but I do get nervous when they pursue me. I most likely haven’t seen a small human until I came here, so consistency will be key, but I do like them. I am potty trained and crate trained. I didn’t like the crate at first, but now I’m starting to be okay. I might whine for a few minutes, but after that I sleep soundly and through the night. I am quiet and content in the crate for a good period of time. Something I will really need help with learning is how to walk on a leash. Walks give me anxiety, simply because I haven’t been exposed to them before. Being patient and consistent while training me will make me feel more confident about walks. We’re positive I will be a great walking buddy the more we do it! I am very good motivated so training me can be a breeze. I am such a sweet pup. I love to play with toys and get belly rubs from you. I finally get a chance to be myself without being overwhelmed with a ton of dogs in the house. I need a family that will be able to help me be the best version of myself. I’ll trade you with lots of cuddles and kisses. If you have given this bio information consideration and are interested, my foster mom would love to speak with you. Thank you for your interest in adopting through Peak Lab Rescue.

Story
**AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS** Some dogs come into our program with instant notoriety and rise to a celebrity status quickly. Brom is definitely one of them. As a popular pup at Saving Grace, Brom would love to give back to his community by helping other Saving Grace dogs with major medical needs, our senior dogs, nursing moms, and those who need life-saving heartworm treatments. Through his adoption, Brom will ask his new family to assist him by making a donation of $500 (tax-deductible) in addition to the adoption fee ($395) to help his friends in need. Brom is the cutest in the galaxy! While he might look like a little Ewok, Brom is a bouncy, sweet flirt who will steal your heart. He loves to give little kisses while snuggled next to you and getting his back scratched. Brom also has loads of energy for walks and playing, especially fetch, and he’s happy to retrieve a ball as long as you’re willing to throw it. When fetch is done, Brom is ready for a game of tug, and squeaky toys are his favorite! This sweetheart really just wants to be friends with everyone - he’s great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a similar-sized or larger playful companion, as he likes to wrestle with his canine buddies. Brom loves humans of all shapes and sizes, including children, but he does jump and can be a little mouthy out of excitement, so little ones may need supervision. He’s unsure about cats, as he tends to run up and startle them in an effort to get them to join him in playtime. Brom is almost completely potty trained and crate trained, although he would prefer to be near you at night. He knows basic commands, but will need some gentle reinforcement to remind him of them. Adventure awaits…with Brom!

Story
Adina, a name meaning "gentle," perfectly describes this beautiful poodle mix. With her endless curls, Adina is settling into her new routines at Saving Grace. She weighs around 46 pounds, and our dedicated volunteers are helping her gain a bit more with healthy food and treats. Adina is ready to leave her past behind and embrace the good life filled with soft beds, regular grooming, and plenty of belly rubs. While she may be a bit shy when meeting new people, she thrives with patience and will likely feel more at ease with another dog in the home to keep her company and boost her confidence. She enjoys playing with other dogs and is happy to receive affection from those in her trusted circle. Adina is asking her new family, given her highly desirable breed mix, to make a $300 tax-deductible donation, in addition to the $395 adoption fee.
