Story
Our family adopted Rodger over two years ago at a Louisville adoption fest. He was 3 when we met, he formerly was owned by a family and so he fit into ours easily. If we’re honest he doesn’t quite suit our Family where we are headed. We hope he will be perfect for yours. First, Rodger is a very loving and caring dog. He loves snuggles and affection. He’s energetic when prompted but mostly restful at home. He’s affectionate and enjoys being close to his owners. He’s respectful of our space and doesn’t crowd. And also true the following ways he doesn’t quite fit for us maybe he’s right for you. He doesn’t like being left behind, he barks when left. He’s energetic and at times plays too rough. He wants to make friends and is vocal around other dogs. He requires routine salon visits for his hair. He is hard to walk in the first .5 mile but settles after distance. Otherwise, he’s a good boy and likely fits best at a home where he can be active, has a yard, and goes on routine walks.

**AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS** Some dogs come into our program with instant notoriety and rise to a celebrity status quickly. Brom is definitely one of them. As a popular pup at Saving Grace, Brom would love to give back to his community by helping other Saving Grace dogs with major medical needs, our senior dogs, nursing moms, and those who need life-saving heartworm treatments. Through his adoption, Brom will ask his new family to assist him by making a donation of $500 (tax-deductible) in addition to the adoption fee ($395) to help his friends in need. Brom is the cutest in the galaxy! While he might look like a little Ewok, Brom is a bouncy, sweet flirt who will steal your heart. He loves to give little kisses while snuggled next to you and getting his back scratched. Brom also has loads of energy for walks and playing, especially fetch, and he’s happy to retrieve a ball as long as you’re willing to throw it. When fetch is done, Brom is ready for a game of tug, and squeaky toys are his favorite! This sweetheart really just wants to be friends with everyone - he’s great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a similar-sized or larger playful companion, as he likes to wrestle with his canine buddies. Brom loves humans of all shapes and sizes, including children, but he does jump and can be a little mouthy out of excitement, so little ones may need supervision. He’s unsure about cats, as he tends to run up and startle them in an effort to get them to join him in playtime. Brom is almost completely potty trained and crate trained, although he would prefer to be near you at night. He knows basic commands, but will need some gentle reinforcement to remind him of them. Adventure awaits…with Brom!

Story
Hey there, I’m Felix the Doodle! According to my foster parents, I am too smart for my own good sometimes. Not sure what they mean by that, but I take it to mean that I’m a fast learner! In just a few short weeks, I’ve learned several commands (sit, wait, shake, and down) and learning to potty outside was a piece of cake. Speaking of cake, I am processing some of my previous trauma and working through some resource guarding tendencies with my food. It will take some time for me to understand that I no longer have to worry about where my next meal comes from, but I'm working on it! I have a lot of energy and love to ruffhouse with my foster sibling (a Labradoodle), but still enjoy a routine and downtime in my crate. I am looking for an active family who can match my spunk. Is that you? Stop by AARF and say hello!
