This striking guy is PUDGY. He is a 2 year old Rottweiler mix who was surrendered to our pound by his owner. PUDGY liked to go visiting the neighbors and his owner preferred to surrender him instead of tying him or bringing him in the house. PUDGY spent his days outside and nights were spent in a barn. He is a sweetheart of a dog who loves to be cuddled and loves attention. He doesn't like cats. He lived with small children and enjoyed when they would play with him. His former owner said he doesn't care for other dogs, but he always went to visit a neighbor's dog so a meetngreet will be necessary with yours if you have one. PUDGY does use his doggy door but because he lived outside, he will need some housebreaking lessons. PUDGY is eager to please and does listen. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. "Mr. Photogenic" was transported from an overcrowded WV shelter. All 43 lbs. of "happy" is ready to welcome visitors so he can show his stuff. Estimated to be 4 years old, Alex is a medium size dog in the prime of his life who walks nicely on leash. From those who observed him at his previous shelter, Alex, it was said was good with kids. However an introduction to some very young kids did not turn out to be the best fit. Alex needs time to warm up to new people so it may be that Alex would do best with older, easier to redirect kids who will give Alex his space, but an adult only home is the ideal placement. It was also observed that Alex gets along with several other dogs and has shown no reaction to cats. Interested in a doggie playmate, Alex does a lovely play bow to initiate fun with other dogs. Setting up a meet with an approved applicant’s dog would be required.

I am a big love bug, and although I can be nervous at first- I settle in quickly to be just a big couch potato! I am good with other dogs and would love to have a friend for life in my forever home. I was found out on the streets, skinny and sad with these HUGE marks all around my muzzle :( It is obvious to the rescuers that I had been bound around my mouth/muzzle for an extended point of time..... no words can express how sad and heartbroken this makes my rescue peeps feel, cause I am the BESTEST girl! Loving and smart and GREAT with EVERYONE I meet!! I have puppy-dog brown eyes that'll absolutely pull at your heart strings, so careful when I look up at you! I have the ability to melt you into jelly, so get ready to make me your NEWEST family member!! My rescue peeps will be very picky about my forever family, so get ready for the grilling :) BUT I AM SO SO WORTH IT. I have a LOVE for food that exceeds all others. I have been internally starving so long because my pancreas wasn't producing the enzymes my body needs to digest and use the nutrients in the foods I was eating...........
