Story
Poor Bosco has found himself home after the death of his former owner.  He is a gentle, mid-aged boy, looking for a new soft landing.  He is a large boy, weighing 100 lbs, and can be strong on the leash when he wants to get somewhere, but he is good-natured and willing to please.  He is newly neutered and has received dental treatment from our vet clinic.  He seems to do well with other dogs, but because he is recently neutered we think he would do better with no other dogs for a while.  He didn't seem to have lived with cats before and was very curious about them.  We think he would do best with older children, aged 8 years and up. Please Note:  You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption. "Mr. Photogenic" was transported from an overcrowded WV shelter. All 43 lbs. of "happy" is ready to welcome visitors so he can show his stuff. Estimated to be 4 years old, Alex is a medium size dog in the prime of his life who walks nicely on leash. From those who observed him at his previous shelter, Alex, it was said was good with kids. However an introduction to some very young kids did not turn out to be the best fit. Alex needs time to warm up to new people so it may be that Alex would do best with older, easier to redirect kids who will give Alex his space, but an adult only home is the ideal placement. It was also observed that Alex gets along with several other dogs and has shown no reaction to cats. Interested in a doggie playmate, Alex does a lovely play bow to initiate fun with other dogs. Setting up a meet with an approved applicant’s dog would be required.
